I´m beginner and I have a problem - when driving Vectron with Habbins cars, even when fully releasing all brakes, cars have not fully released brakes, only overcharging main line (full release brake lever option) make them fully released, but after 10-20s main brake line pressure drop from 5.6 again to 5.2 and cars starts to slightly brake again. Is that a bug? For example box cars does not have that problem. I have no problem reaching 100kph with that problem, but even when going downhill I must apply a little bit of force. Thanks.
Try not to use quick release for more than a second - it is meant as an overcharge. Instead, it may help to try and wait a minute to allow the air to flow through all the pipes to the end of the train - they are quite long after all!
Seems it helped! But I´m curious - can you please explain in simple way, how that overcharge works? It somehow blocks that pneumatic switches in cars? Thanks.
To release the brakes, you need to charge the brake pipe with 5.1 bar of air pressure. If one of your wagons is faulty, and is only charging to 4.9, you can temporarily rectify this by overcharging the brake pipe to 5.3 bar, to bring the faulty wagon to 5.1. Then you can drive to a maintenance depot to fix the wagon. However, the rest of the train will now treat 5.3 bar as the new released state, so any lower than 5.3 and the brakes apply. There's a way to reset this (I think using emergency brake) but I don't know how.
