Passengers Staying On At Terminus And Going Into The Depot

So, we're up to Train Sim World 4 and those damn passengers still insist on staying on the train no matter what. It's been bugging me since Great Western Express in 2017 and somehow nothing's changed.

Maybe I'm alone in being annoyed by this but I wish they fixed this already.

 

This is a really annoying issue that has plagued tsw since it's inception really. Passenger behavior in general needs to be fixed but DTG don't seem to want to make the necessary improvements

 

While there are probably more pressing issues, this is one of those which really kills immersion.

Annoying really, but ain't gonna be fixed.

 

What I don't understand is that if I am correct, we do have a specific "unload passengers" instruction. So they could set it up properly to make sure passengers are off.

But I assume it is just like stopping point right up on red signals. Could be done better, they promised to do better, then just never bothered anyway.

 

It seems to be two ways with DTG, either people stay on the train even after arriving at the last stop or instead you get to drive a passenger train at peak hours that's totally empty. Pick your poison.

 

Not to mention all the stationary rolling stock in yards just sitting there full of passengers that don't even have any AI instructions, and are never even shunted in the timetable, so they never go anywhere.

 

There are even cases where things get worse after an update:
• Passengers stepping down onto the tracks.
• Passengers wandering along the edge of the platform.
• Passengers staying on board instead of getting off at the depot.
• Passengers piling up in a clump on the platform after disembarking.
• Passengers constantly floating in mid-air and colliding with things every time a train arrives at or departs from the station.

The list goes on and on.
It is disappointing. Despite all the feedback, improvements simply haven't kept pace.
