Gameplay Question: Is It Possible To Have A Running Start For A Player Train?

    As per the title, in TSC you can set the player train in a scenario to be at a running start, already set up and going at the speed when you press the key combo to define the running start. Is it possible to set up the player train in a TSW editor based scenario to do the same thing? I'd quite like to do this for a scenario idea, when I get back to working on my scenario pack.

    What about using portals for this?

    I don't know how they exactly work (if they spawn AI trains with a given speed or if they just spawn them in an inmobile state and they start to run thereafter).

    But if it's the former, could we use portals for player starts?

    Portals spawn a train from a standing start, so it has to ramp up to speed unfortunately. I’m wondering now if it could be something achieved through blueprint. Although I’d doubt it as I don’t think there’s any classes available to set the vehicle speed

    Good to know that.

    Maybe the challenge could be solved differently. Not to spawn a train running at some speed but spawning/starting the player within the loco at some point where the train has achieved the desired speed.

    I don't know if this could be possible either. Not aware of a scenario which sets the player in at a running train.
