Haven't heard of that one, what was that all about?

 

iirc, Jane was the CTO of skyhook and it was alleged that he did some terrible things in the past like lying and stuff which was mentioned by a whistleblower who accused Jane of many things. Also brought up official court documents and websites, etc. Midland mainline had game breaking bugs at release, there was miscommunication, rushed content which led people to believe the whistleblower. Jane and dtg tried to dispel rumors, but it didn't go well. Thread below and the content has been removed, but you can still use context clues. Since the attack, Jane no longer works for skyhook.

Still looping horn sounds class 47 especially, still issues with the blurring effect in photo mode, sometimes it does not even work when reset, and when saving a game then reverting back to it, the weather is completely different to state it was saved at. BCC saved game, when reverted too, the PIS is missing from the 323. These are still relevant after 5 months, and some have been relevant since the add ons were released. And they still are not fixed!.

 

WSR: To improve the go-around-moves it would be nice to be able to turn the steam locos on the turntable at Minehead and on the triangle at Norton-Fitzwarren, so you can avoid going tender-first.

 

It would be nice as an option but tender first operation is a very regular occurrence in real life on the route.

 

The two short flying Scotsman services at Norton are broken.
First one launched with me 19 miles away at Minehead.
Second put me at Blue Anchor.

 

The WSR remaster is brilliant, I love it! I only have one complaint - the SOS Jubilee and 8F aren't compatible, meaning if you want them you need Peak Forest, which I don't have and in all honesty don't really want either. Hopefully in the near future the SOS locos will be compatible, but as of now they're not and it's a bit disappointing, as the services they can do look really good! (My brother has Peak Forest)
I'm also having some issues moving the Scotsman on the route, any tips on that.? Thanks!

 

They used the Peak Forest versions so you didn't need 2 DLCs for it. That way you can get the Jubilee, 8F and 4F in one go.

 

Oh right, makes sense but it is a bit frustrating that I can't get the Jubilee and 8F, but I do see why they did that. Might have to look into buying Peak Forest, had a look at the route and some reviews and it doesn't look too bad and I'd probably enjoy it. I'll probably buy it once the new add-on for it is out though. Thanks for letting me know!

 

I think the complaint was that there wasn't an option for using the Spirit of Steam locos. I suppose it's a flaw in the layering system that while any loco that's allowed by the system can spawn, it still requires a certain DLC to active the layer itself.

 

Is it just me, or is the "Galaveranstaltung" (I don't know the title in the English version) not completeable? After stopping on the turntable, starting it and finishing the turnover, I am not able to re-enter the loco to leave the turntable. I have tried several positions on the loco.

If I recall correctly, the turntable is a bit too small and the player cannot fit between the loco and the railings of the turntable. To enter the cab you could try the ctrl+0 shortcut, works both on pc and on console with a keyboard connected to the device. It might put you in the other cab so you should deactivate all controls before leaving the loco so that you could simply activate the other cab if it puts you in the wrong one.

I'm on PS5 and what I did was crouch beside the loco, for some reason that would let me walk beside the loco

I really like the remaster of WSR the only thing I want to say is why does the Flying Scotsman only have 4 coaches seems strange for it to have less than the other steam trains

 

General rule, if a promised feature has not materialised by Q2 of a year, it'll be a paid for part of the next numerical iteration of TSW.

 

I'd assume to use the same services as the other locomotives. I don't have TSW4 so I can't confirm it, but it shouts to me as being the most likely reason.

Is there a reason why Flying Scotsman doesn't spawn in? Is it seasonal? I can choose it but when I spawn on foot it's not there.

 

Crouching worked! So I was able to finish the Scenario yesterday. Thanks again.

Another small thing: The German translation of the last task of that scenario is quite misleading. It suggests that you have to drive the loco back to the station, which is not true.

Red light issue on the 2017 diesel timetable, MD4 to Bishops Lydiard is getting stuck at Blue Anchor due to BL3 remaining stopped at Watchet and blocking the line.

 

Only appears during Summer, this is being addressed in a later patch so it spawns all year round

I noticed the Flying Scotsman isn't AI is that going to be added or just use it in timetable mode

 

I've seen Scotsman as AI during the summer months.

Fast moving external camera is broken already on consoles. Please fix that. Railfanning is nearly impossible now.

 

The new update is messed up. If i press the start button on PS5 the bottom right Part of the HUD is still there...

 

Formation manager needs a lot of work tbh.

I can see why they didn't ship it to consoles.

Honestly haven't touched the rest of the update after the headliner being such a let down.

 

I'm not enjoying the new menu for what trains to spawn on free roam, the writing is too small for me.

 

I noticed after the update for sand patch the CSX SD40 2 was replaced with BNSF cajon SD40 2 in timetable etc also the braking tutorial is removed

The train brakes theory scenario tutorial not fixed it not even showing also the CSX SD40 2 has been replaced with the BNSF cajon pass SD40 2 this is in Sand Patch TSW4 ..i play on x box series S and X is DTG going to give us the CSX paint scheme back plus would like to have proper CSX schemed that part of sand patch..

Playing WSR now. I can see this bug with the WSR Mk1s hasn't been fixed. The buffer collision and compression animations are messed up.

Additionally the steam heating hose does not connect. (Screenshot is of a WSR Mk1 BSO (right) coupled to a PFT Maroon Mk1 BG (left))

 

Did you expect DTG would fix anything beyond what was promised? I would wish they would take those opportunities but...they just don't :-(

 

It was a passion project worked on by 2 people in their free time, not an official dtg project

No it means an individual took it on himself to learn the processes and improve his own skills and others joined in. This continual bashing of DTG over EVERY LITTLE THING is getting rather tiresome.

 

Not for people who want DTG to treat their customers with a bit of respect, and for content they buy not to be half-arsed and effectively worthless.

 

Can't expect them to treat us with respect if we don't do the same thing.

Companies are never your friend. Never treat them like one.

 

I am sorry, but being a customer of DTG even before it was DTG, I have never felt disrespected. And after several hundred hours of entertainment from both TSC, and TSW, I haven’t yet purchased a DLC that has been totally worthless as you state. Yes there are bugs, some choices of DLC development have not been what I would have desired and guess what, I didn't buy that DLC. There are things I wish were implemented differently but on a whole, I feel I have received decent entertainment for the money I have spent. If I did not think so, I would move on to other avenues for my entertainment instead of moaning every time the company released a product.
I also do not understand this concept of a company “respecting” a customer. It is a business transaction - a company produces a product, if you like the product , you buy it, if you don’t think the product meets your expectations, you don’t buy it. Simple as that.

Many people do have good constructive criticisms which I find refreshing, but ceaseless bashing of a company I find tiresome and of little value.
