I have Train Sim World® 4 Compatible: West Cornwall Steam Railtour Add-On installed via steam, yet I see no options inside the game menus (timetable/scenario/journeys) which cover this. All my other DLC seems present. Is there a known issue?
You'll have to use scenario planner off the rails or free roam. It is mainly for west cornwall local so you'll need to own that to see scenarios and services. I know it's a railtour on West somerset. I think it also layers into another route but I'm not sure which one
I'm confused. So, the "West Cornwall Steam Railtour Add-on" is dependent on another DLC? I have the West Somerset Railway Route add-on already, which works but I cannot see anything to do with this add-on. Edit: Perhaps it is dependent on West Cornwall Local: Penzance - St Austell & St Ives DLC?
Yes. Loco dlcs depend on other dlc to get the full experience. Loco dlcs have been decoupled for tsw3+ exclusive content so you don't require the home route, but to get the full experience, you have to get the home route. If you don't, you can only use it in scenario planner and free roam. This doesn't apply to any tsw2 and older locomotives; they require a home route to even see them appear anywhere. It should appear in the winter on west somerset as a festive railtour. West cornwall local is the main dlc the steam railtour is for so you require it if you want scenarios and services in timetable mode.
It should appear in the Steam Gala timetable on West Somerset under LMS Jubilee, even if you do not have West Cornwall local: If LMS Jubilee Black, LMS Jubilee Crimson, LMS Jubilee Crimson Festive and LMS Jubilee Black Festive aren't appearing I'm not sure why that would be, you could try spawning them in the free roam menu to see if the add-on installed properly
Thanks for the responses. I don’t think this was clear enough on the store. Surely won’t be the first, or the last person to make this mistake.
If it confuses you, when looking at an add on, see which TSW release it is associated with (it will tell you this as well as saying TSW4 compatible). Any that say Train Sim World 3 or 4 don't require their home route.
That’s not true, this absolutely does say TSW3, even in the store title. The images have it on too. All it states as a requirement is it requires TSW3 and that this was DLC for TSW3 that is compatible with TSW4. I have TSW, TSW2, TSW3 and TSW4. Anyhow, this advice is all retrospective and misses the point - I need to either spend more money or just write it off.
I was under the impression that TSW3 add-ons were decoupled from their home route, and could be used separately. Further, the steam page says : Which states "For the full experience" and "recommends", which I believe means it is decoupled. JDMac87, are you certain you have the pack downloaded (not just bought - easy mistake to make)
