Is anyone getting the guard buzzer on the 101? I went through the manual and it mentions about there being a buzzer to acknowledge but I don't hear it, same with NTP. Also noticed some passengers getting out of the wrong side on the middle carriage only.
Yeah, there's no buzzer to acknowledge. The manual is probably talking about the buzzer for the driver in the cab- you can at least send a signal, even if there isn't a signal to receive.
How about a trainload oil, BR large logo or simple old railfreight livery reskinned headcode tweaked 47 from WSR, or a NTP 47 reskinned with a headlight added. Coupled with the tankers from the new freight pack for substitution onto Tees Valley? Vans could also fill out empty spaces. Such as the sidings at Minehead, washford. Old sidings around Tees yard?
Yeah sounds good. I think the TVL could do with some 47's pulling some old Mk1 in BR blue as substitutes for some DMU services or as AI representing other services. There is so much missing traffic around Middlesbrough and Darlington. Hopefully once the Editor comes out we can create additional services around these areas and on NTP Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester Victoria.
Not complaining about TVL at all. Im buying it next week. It looks to be all I hoped it would be. Just see an opportunity with Ntp freight. Vans go everywhere. Derelict or in use. Tankers defo TVL 1989 and may even stretch as far as GWE 2015? I saw them around North West England in 2011. 101 scenario on WSR. 33 scenario pulling vans on WSR? TVL 47 oil delivery from port?
Not taken as a complaint by me more a suggestion of the possibilities. I am absolutely loving TVL there is a lot to do, shunting, freight services, passenger runs. All a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
Only via scenario's. Matt mentioned a while back that we cannot edit service mode with routes made by DTG, such a shame. I agree about missing traffic, while waiting at Darlington, you just want a HST or two to scream past on the fast lines or stop at the station.
It would be nice if it was implemented as it is something which was part of the character of these old units. It was possible in TS1 so presumably it should be do-able in TSW. Yes a 47 on some mark 1's on a DMU replacement would be great.
I don't see why they can't just make it a door closing / opening sound that just plays in the cab instead of by the door. Shouldn't be that hard to implement.
Do you mean the load passengers complete sound? Ive been on for ages that they could just replace that with a buzzer or whistle.
I didn't, but that's an even better idea. Maybe not replace it, but have it trigger the sound, certainly. Actually, even better- have it trigger when the game tells you to "Lock Doors." This is helpful for playing without the UI as well.
Maybe a few of these guys. Around the loading/unloading areas. Often seen at junctions to factories and terminals with walkie talkies. If the risk is, random people in suits or tracksuits, spawning in these places. Then I can see why you havent done it
I was thinking about this today while playing. Would be nice to have characters at stop points rather than the UI elements. Would add more realism. The driver in the gronk has a hi-viz clothing on. I have noticed that the driver characters are pulled from a pool of characters. What we need is a pool of driver only characters. The German drivers in TSW have uniforms on. So it can be done.
I really tried to watch this stream, but the route had already downloaded and no video stream could ever surpass the experience of driving this fabulous new route. Congratulations, developers and many thanks to DTG management for agreeing to its development in the first place.
This is not a go a DTG, I’m a massive fan of the route. But was disappointed, I haven’t been able to recreate the following scene in the game. (See attached photo) Now at night, or dawn or dusk, I’ve got nothing like scene represented in that photo, no lighting on the factories whatsoever. So, it leads me to ask, was this altered by DTG at all, if it has been, no problem, but I would have liked to have been able to recreate the below seen with the fantastic lighting on the steelworks, not with the 37 specifically but for me there is nothing like the lighting represented in the game i’ve Found. Has anyone else, noticed this?
You know what I mean though, that visual scene is something that I’ve found can’t be recreated in TSW.
No, it can't- but this has been the case for all previous route DLC. The dramatic, heavily edited header is kind of to be expected at this point.
It's a nice route, but why are some yards completely inaccessible, though you can see them at the 2D map? I think this is a bit annoying, why develop them but deny access?
And I wasn't even alive during most eras that would count as historic but I like them anyway. I mean, I like modern routes too, but these are still interesting- after all, it's not something you can experience in real life anymore, only in a simulator, which makes the experience stand out more.
I prefer the older routes in the days of the early diesels and steam transition. Never been a big fan of modern commuter routes with what to me seems sameness of the locomotives. Give me a group of GP9 struggling up Cajon or a coal drag through the Alleghenies over a commuter run any day. I do like the UK early Diesels as well and if I must do passenger - give me a loco hauled with slam doors anyday over DMU or EMUs
Same here... I remember all the old Diesel trains... as a young teenager, getting on the train at Kettering with the old carriages with a corridor and compartments etc. Travelling back from Pirbright in Surrey and making my way into London... Also as a younger kid, standing on a footbridge and waiting for a steam train to pass and smelling the smoke etc... lovely memories!
