A bit of fun - have a whirl at what you think is being announced this Sunday, obvious or otherwise! Feel free to mark my homework afterwards... - GOBLIN Gospel Oak - Barking Riverside - Salzburg - Rosenheim - Cargo Line Vol. 2 - Aggregates - Class 104 then more speculatively... - West Highland Line Extension w/ Class 156 (Rivet) - DBAG Class 232 Ludmilla (TSG), possibly as part of a forthcoming German diesel route - North Wales Coast (Alan Thomson Sim) w/ Class 221 and 158 - LIRR 2.0 (extended/fixed/remastered) - San Diego Sprinter Oceanside - Escondido w/ VT642 Desiro - Railjet - Arlberg Railway Bludenz - Innsbruck - Chase Line w/ Class 350 - Just Trains teaser - Riviera in the 80/90s w/ Class 50? - another third-party announcement, possibly related to steam locos (perhaps Precision Locomotive Developments aka. The Artist Formerly Known As Bossman Games) - preview of progress on Great Western Express remaster DTG staff chortling away in the background at how wrong I've got this
This came out in December, it's now nearly mid-February so the US route and UK route should be very near by now...
-The announcement of the US route which will either be welcomed or another disappointment in some way, shape or form.
Happily I don't mind being wrong Looking forward to it, it's just a shame that all the usual leak sources seem to have been fixed... *looks pointedly*
The current LIRR route is terrible and can't handle a timetable update. Its either a rebuilt route or a complete brand new one.
moi? I've left DTG Alex in charge of this one, so I'm as far away from revealing anything as possible.
I am wondering if there will be something bigger announced, like an end of an era or start of an era thing. Pointedly it is not a TSW reveal, it is a DTG reveal.
- GOBLIN Gospel Oak - Barking Riverside - Salzburg - Rosenheim - Cargo Line Vol. 2 - Aggregates - Class 104 These, we know then more speculatively... - West Highland Line Extension w/ Class 156 (Rivet) Definitely something Scotrail related, Either this or a route involving the 380, based on their twitter post. - North Wales Coast (Alan Thomson Sim) w/ Class 221 and 158 I doubt the 221, as it was pretty much confirmed that the ATS route would include existing stock. So I suspect either a 150 and 158 or just one? - Chase Line w/ Class 350 Not sure what or where this route is? - Just Trains teaser - Riviera in the 80/90s w/ Class 50? -i'm assuming its far too early for any JT routes. - another third-party announcement, possibly related to steam locos (perhaps Precision Locomotive Developments aka. The Artist Formerly Known As Bossman Games) Do need more steam locos, certainly for SoS or PFR
I think ATS would only give a rough outline - their route is still out of the pipeline of upcoming stuff. JT may appear, although I wouldn't bank on it. If they do; Riviera Line (the other Pacer + HST, late BR era) "UK Route" = Manchester - Liverpool via Warrington "US Route" = NEC: Washington - Baltimore (idk) Bonus: - Something to do with Berlin - BR Class 222 (Skyhook), for MML - BR Class 60 for General UK Freight - DB BR 407 (ICE 4) for KWG, SKA, HMA - LNER HST Gameplay Pack for ECML - BR Class 150 reskined to Northern and other appropriate liveries, adding to AI on multiple routes Be advised I am 101% wrong on this one.
So er, anyone else noticed how there's a LIRR M3 training centre tutorial that just dropped with the latest patch? (I made this list before the patch but my reasoning for LIRR is that it and the M3 have been missing from the past two major Steam sales, whereas all the other legacy content has been heavily discounted)
Just a thought but maybe the next US route is a LIRR, not a remaster or upgrade of the LIRR original, and they are using the same train.
Only real question with the LIRR is a brand new route or a completely redone/extension of the original route.
LIRR remake + extended trackage is most likely the next US route. Hopefully the diesel fleet is introduced
The issue is, you can't really do a LIRR route without including Penn station and Jamaica. That's basically already a good portion of the old route.
I've always been 100% on board the LIRR 2 theory since the leaks began and now it seems all but confirmed, it's looking likely it will be a separate DLC altogether. My advice would be NOT to purchase the current M3 as it's likely it will be included in LIRR 2 and you could be wasting your money.
Could the new LIRR be a SEHS type of route: extended with a loco DLC (465bfor SEHS and M3 for LIRR) coming with the route together?
My main expectation - or hope - is an OEBB Taurus with coaching stock, either a Railjet or classic IC/EC stock. This could come in with a new route, and layer into Arlberg and others, with the Talent going the other way
Would be cool if they could do this to GWE as well, especially extend the route for the HST to get a rush on, but sadly they don't have GWR licenses anymore I don't think, maybe they could reapply? But that would be very welcome on the LIRR.
An LIRR 2.0 would certainly be interesting though, if it’s a remaster I might consider reinstalling the route, if it’s an entirely new route I’d have to wait and see more before judging
I also heard via the discord that apparently the LIRR M7 & M3 got updated to match their Metro North counterparts
Pure speculation but maybe ECML Pt 2 with Kings Cross to Peterborough. would love any era WCML as well. Fingers crossed.
LIRR extended and remastered would certainly be one for the wish list. Would hope they’ve cured the issues of AI trains snarling up on permissive/line of sight running.
BR Class 56 in coal sector branding and MGR hoppers, and BR Class 60 in metals sector livery. Released as part of the surprise Tees Valley Line remaster. It will be called "The Railfreight Heavy Duty pack."
I hope that's true. We need another UK freight loco than the 66 and Tees Valley is too good of a route to leave in the history books.
I've never wanted someone's predictions to be correct as much as I do now with that North Wales Coast - it's my local line and something I've forever wanted in TSW, as I'm on console and don't have a good enough PC for any other simulators. Will be a shame as from what I've heard there's no new trains coming to it, so the 221 won't be a thing but the line itself will make for that (for me at least) I'm not getting my hopes up though, but it would be great and it would be the second modern-day diesel route to come to the game if it did happen!
Oooo, I love a bit of speculation! A few predictions I had were: - Loco Bundle 3 (for the core routes) which would include a OBB Railjet, Metrolink MP36 and LNER HST - New Haven Line (if we don’t get LIRR 2.0) - Ebbw Valley (By Rivet) with the 150 - Release date for DB BR 420 - Route update to HMA!
I'm excited for the DD, hopefully some exciting stuff and news on the GOBLIN and hopefully for the US lovers some big news for the US route. I suspect though these routes will come out in March since from the December roadmap there's still that 0-"3" months possibility. But hopefully we get a lot more new features and routes coming, fingers crossed.
I'm pretty sure that in a video( i think the ambsador one or the railfaning one) there was a FLIRT 3 from Süwex on a wall, printed out. I mean, this is stretched veeeery far, as this EMU is avavible in TSC, but could this indicate a LFR modern timetable? Probably not, but the FLIRT 3 would be nice. Also hope we will get RSSLO to make content for TSW, since they make a lot of austrian routes. Edit: found it at 5:27 Edit 2: just realised this poster has Train simulator written on it.Youtube defaulted my resolution to 480p
I think it could still be plausible as they have previously used locos that have been retired/due to retire on certain routes. I also think people would lap up an LNER HST, I certainly would!
