Has anyone managed to start the class 37 from cold in free roam?

I've had a look for a battery switch and through the key-mappings but I'm stuck!

Are you talking about Train Sim 2019, or Train Sim World?

    TSW.

You can start the 08 from cold but I haven’t managed to start any of the 37’s at Thornaby.

The cab light doesn’t come on so it would appear the battery is isolated?

You mentioned free roam which confused me, as it obviously doesn’t exist in TSW. I assume you’re talking about a service, in which case does it start from cold, or have you shut the loco down yourself with the intention of restarting it? It might be that if they’re static locos in service mode they can’t be started.

That said though, the battery isolation switch is on the wall behind the drivers seat in the no1 end cab. The instructions on how to do a cold start are in the manual.

Apologies. I meant where you can spawn on foot.

I struggled to locate the manual but thanks for the tip.

I think the Battery Isolation switch is in the No2 cab end

Yes the cabs at either end of the 37 are different. Battery isolation switch should be on the back wall.
