This route would be AC electric Route: London Fenchurch Street - Shoeburyness with Grays Journey time From 1h 0m Distance: 38 miles (61 km) Rolling Stock: Class 357 Class 387 Or Maybe A 720? (Unlikely) Timetable: London Fenchurch Street - Shoeburyness London Fenchurch Street - Grays London Fenchurch Street - Southend Central Via Grays Route Map: Layers: AI for Class 710 from the upcoming GOBLIN line at Barking AI for Class 395 on HS1
Nice suggestion! We will need more AI traffic at Barking as it is a pretty major station and it will look empty with the Goblin line on its own which is every 15 minutes.
I would not mind this route. I would buy it for the AI traffic at Barking however I would prefer the Hammersmith and City line or District line routes to feature at Barking.
The fact this route is STILL being suggested defeats me. How on Earth has this been a suggestion since TSC and we STILL dont have it in either sim.
I feel like this would be a good route for train sim world 4. The Class 357 and a Class 387/3 sounds like a great idea. They would have to make new sounds tho. The Current Electrostar sounds are cr#p. I feel like a Class 720/6 would rarely be added but the way Dovetail are heading with this Modern, Modern trains which are the ones which have only had a few years of service in real life, Most likely they will add the /6. But I doubt we'll see a Class 387/3 if a 720 arrives. I think just the Class 357 and the Class 387/3 should just be in the route together. They are good enough.
The 387 was only a short-term stopgap until the 720, so if this route ever came along set in the present day it should be 357 and 720.
Yes please! I travelled this route many times in my first job in the 1980s (Leigh-on-Sea to Fenchurch Street). It's a surprisingly varied route given that it's relatively short. Although few sights more depressing than Canvey Island on a rainy night!
Good suggestion. This would be a good route to have in the game with the variety offered by the Grays loop and the line through Chafford Hundred.
