Hello! Yes, I'm one of 'those' players that likes to try and do ludicrous stuff. One such thing I've tried to do is to make a 'perpetual' train, or as near as possible. So far, I've created a formation with five ES44C4s and 95 tankers, spawned it at the station on the test loop, then spawned another behind that, coupled it successfully, then done the same again to the rear of that, so I've got three formations of five ES44C4s and 95 tankers all hooked up. I figured I'd leave a gap to allow the train to stretch out before trying to hook the whole thing up, that's if I can in the end (is there something which will specifically stop me from coupling the front of the train to its own rear on the loop like this?). I'm having a bit of an issue though. I was hoping that the other locomotives would apply power, however, only the initial five are, meaning the whole train is now only travelling at 0.1mph with sand and full power. Have I missed something? Why would the other locos not be powered? As stated, I realise this is a bonkers thing to do, but if I could pull it off, it could be quite fun to see. Thanks for your time, folks! Glen
You guys shouldn't give me bad ideas... So I made this without formation editor on the smaller loop with the DB BR 101 and the German IC-coaches + 2 habins and eanos freight vagons in the back. I couldn't couple the leading 101 and the last eanos vagon to each other probably due to them being so close to each other. Regarding the OP:s question, did you have the banking comm on? That can be activated from the radio in the cab.
