The Norwich to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft routes are scenic, unique and aren't too long, the Norwich to Lowestoft line only around 25 miles, and the Great Yarmouth line only around 20 miles. This route would be interesting because Dovetail rarely touch the Norfolk area, and the scenery is amazing. These routes are known as the Wherry lines.

What makes the route more interesting is the fact that after Reedham, the one line veers back off to Great Yarmouth, while the other carries on to Lowestoft as seen below. This would make a variety of different possible routes on service mode.

An additional route could be the Bittern Line, which is interesting as, at Cromer, some trains terminate but others change their direction of travel until Sheringham, which is a single platform terminus, opposite the terminus for the North Norfolk heritage Line.

The scenery on all route is lovely as the flat green landscape of Norfolk, along with small towns and villages cropping out along the way, meets with the sea. Also, along much of the routes, it is single track with very short platforms and changing speed limits, as well as many crossings, which make the driving more fun and challenging.

The route also provides a variety of different trains, such as the 153 super sprinter, which would be the first 1 car train on TSW, and 156 super sprinters.[IMG]

156 Sprinter, some have special branding for the Bittern and Wherry Lines.

On top of this, Greater Anglia run the class 37 diesel loco on some Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft routes with 3 mark 2 coaches. These were brought in to cope with a lack of Super Sprinters.

A class 37 at Norwich station.

Greater Anglia is also bringing in new Stadtler BMUs on these routes, which will replace all of the above trains, so TSW could implement those in a changeover stage. The class 170 turbostar also run on these routes but are rarely seen as they mainly run on the Norwich to Cambridge route.

Points of interest on the Wherry Lines:

The swing bridge that crosses the River Yare.
There is also a crossing at the River Waveney
    [IMG]
Berney Arms station, one of the least used in Britain. This station and Buckenham are request stops.

There are so many more points of interest that I have obviously missed as I don't often travel on this route but these are just a few that stand up.

Points of Interest on the Bittern Line:
Cromer station, where many trains back out to Sheringham.
Sheringham station, which is a single platform terminus, that ends opposite a road crossing which joins up with the North Norfolk Line as shown below.

Bure Valley Railway the longest narrow gauge railway in Norfolk which runs between Aylesham and Wroxham where it meets with the Bittern Line.

Beside and above runs the Bittern Line.

I believe these routes fit perfectly into what TSW needs, and is a beautiful route.

    That's a 47 at Norwich so you could run 37s and 47s.

Good suggestion, would be even better if the heritage line to Holt was included! From modern route to classic heritage all in a hop off, short walk, hop on

That would be amazing, but I highly doubt DTG will be bothered to do that, but it would still be amazing

Good write up. Thanks for taking the time to propose this. I'd love to see this brought into the game.
