So awhile ago (I don't know when) The CSX YN2 GP38-2 stopped spawning on Sand Patch Grade. And yet, this has yet to be fixed. I believe some people may of reported it when it 1st was a problem, but even now on TSW4, the skin is inaccessible. I even tried to force it to spawn in formation editor. But as seen below, the skin just defaults to the YN3b colors. I don't know if the Yn2 skin is getting over ridden by the Yn3b paint or what, but its annoying how SPG (Which one of its charms is that each loco had 2 paints each) isn't accessible on its newer iterations. I would submit a ticket, but it seems like those options don't always get thru...... Its also worth noting its only the GP38-2 that's bugged, the SD40-2 and AC44 are both fine.
Since the last update in tsw 4 the csx sd40 2 been replaced with the cajon pass bnsf sd40 2 prob because the csx sd40 2 didnt work in free roam woulnt get power but they need to give us csx proper skins back
th They keep hiding and not saying anything about whats going on with US content issues no US routes being released yet way past the promised releas just excuses licensing issues at this point may no new us content till TSW 5
Not sure if you're on PC, but Kitkat fixed this bug the other day: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c19-patches/i4255-csx-gp38-2-yn2-patch Took them 5 minutes, the loco has the wrong model assigned in the files (the Yn3b one), so it won't spawn in game with YN2 no matter what you do without this fix until DTG sort it.
It doesn't no, and that's why it's really bad. I'm not joking by the way, literally 5 minutes to fix it. It's one wrong file assigned, all the other stuff is actually there.
considering the debacle thats started in relation to us freight im redownloading TSW 3 so can use the proper csx locos

Doesn't really bother me as Run8 is the definite US freight experience. And the upcoming Milwaukee route for SimRail is eagerly awaited.
It makes no sense to just remove the YN2 livery on one of the locomotives, if it were a purposeful choice all of them would almost certainly be gone. If anything I think this probably leads credence to the idea that the weathered UP livery was removed by accident.
here for me the ac44 with weathered livery from UP CaneCreek appears normally in the formation designer and in free roam
Ok, but it got removed from the timetable. (Files are still in the game, that's why you can spawn it yourself)
Just FYI I can neither confirm or deny if it, never bought Cane Creek, I just know there was chatter about the livery while back.
correction: the ac44 with weathered livery UP CaneCreek just appears in the formation designer, it doesn't appear in free roam nor in the specific scenario for it "follow the dirt train" and SPG ac44 with YN2 livery just appears with kitkat mod
