search is effectively useless there is no way to search or filter a user and the website only lists the last 12 items uploaded per user
Out side of driving trains the UI for every thing is terrible. Load up a new route for the first time, it tells you nothing about the route, you have no idea where any thing is, you get this tiny little thumbnail map that is useless. Then once you are running a route, the map is also useless it has no labels on it, you can only see your next objective. Just give me a full screen map with labels and filters that i can see all the stops, the yard names, the POIs, the industries ect ect.
I have given up with CC . So many issues . I still cannot subscribe in game even though I have less than 100 subs and using the website has its own issues, like the one mentioned above about only see 12 items . I was told to send a PM, which I did, about the issues . Sent a video and loads of screen shots , I was told it was going to be looked at by the team and then......NOTHING . That was 13 Jan 2023,
The creators club is a very good thing, sharing liveries and formations etc in 1 second. But unfortunately its searching filter makes it unusable literally. Searching for class 20? Not possible. Cl31 is recognizing 313 too. In my opinion the content should be splitted into units. Liveries for specific locos. So i can search for KWG 182 liveries, instead of getting flooded with all mixed 182 paints.
I prefered the CC UI in TSW3. there u could search on accounts to see what else they created. see what DLC you would need for a certain livery or scenario and it actually downloaded stuff when u asked it to 9 out of 10 times. the 100 download limit is so bad though. if I need 5 to 15 gigs for a new route, I can spend those few mb on another livery I like since even payware reskins in loco packs aren't a thing anymore
This. Try looking for a livery for the Br 101 and you get a whole bunch of liveries for the CLass 101 among other things. There really should be an option to simply select a unit from the game and get results only for that unit as you suggest. As it stands, it's more luck than anything else if you actually find what you're looking for.
It really is useless. It desperately needs a rating system too. Everyone's scenarios and liveries are nice and I appreciate them posting them but there are massive differences in quality. If I want to play a scenario I want it to be interesting and full of Ai and if I want a livery I want it to be the best version available.
I've passed this thread on to the creators club team - the first post has a really good example of something we can fix. If you have any more examples of finding things just not working the way you want then please do post them here so we can look at that also. Matt.
following up on that great idea. I'm not sure if half of the TSW2/3 liveries are still broken on TSW4. but for that reason I just deleted all of them but can't look for popular new ones because all things popular in there are old liveries. in addition I'd like to see packs like the 146 with dosto coaches and cab car to be put in as a full pack in CC. for example that one used in one DRA scenario from the CC is all you can use it in. in normal timetable you get a mix of normal and IC wagons then. for weathered liveries it works great to mix but not for anything else
This could be made for routes too. I always felt i missed a lot of good scenarios because the filter, which didnt recognize the 100% exact match of the words & letters in the scenario title when using the filter. So selecting routes and show all its content would be helpful. Or restricting the filter to a specific route / loco.
If I may add a suggestion could we please have the option to disable custom liveries from appearing in service mode from the creators club? You can only do it for liveries you have made locally at the moment and it would be nice to have it for CC liveries as well otherwise I have to keep deleting and reinstalling them.
would be great to see an option where we can select per route yes or no, and whether it’s player or Ai or both yes or no.
I agree maps need to be improved. When driving a German route for example I have no real idea where I am, the only clue is if there is a city name I know in the route title. Can we not get some sort of a locational map in the intro?
I have to say, my initial enthusiasm for CC didn't last long, both for v1 and v2 of it, primarily because of the lack of search capabilities. I don't think it's a big ask to be able to filter by route and by train - "Show me all the scenarios for the Bakerloo line", for example, or "Show me all the liveries for the BR101." This seems very fundamental and it's omission quite glaring to me. It's similar to my thoughts on Free Roam, another feature I rarely use. There, I would love to see substitutions - for example on the London Commuter line - selecting a timetable service and being able to substitute one train for another with the TAB key, following all the normal requirements of course (i.e. not off the rails), and preserving all the AI and timetable stop information for that service. Both CC and FR are great ideas, but IMO their execution could use upgrading.
My thoughts on improvements: Link to the custom livieries used in a CC scenario Get all liveries per type of train. Type of train should be specific (KWG 182 and not just 182) Get all liveries/scenarios per route Get all real life/fictional liveries (requires a new tag maybe) Refactoring the of the country tags (not Austria AND Österreich) and make it usable. Not working properly right now Get all liveries/routes from an uploader, not just the first 12 Make a switch to turn CC liveries on or off on a specific route liveries for german IC carriages or ÖBB 4024 never get used in timetable mode on my system (steam), please make them work. Preferably also with a switch Don't limit downloading CC objects. Can't download liveries right now even if I delete some.
I'd rather have them to be selectable by Train and/or route. for example a Beacon livery for the MRCE or a Trilex livery for dresden - riesa on the desiro. I'd say also as the cab cars are sorted into one. the 185's and 182's should be as well. and no idea why but the ICE services on Köln - Aachen do not show up in timetable mode when you select any of the ICE3's
Another thing that should be there, IMO, is when downloading a scenario - all the required liveries be downloaded with it, rather than have to laboriously search for every one, which is often a very time consuming process. Again, this just seems standard to me, something aligned with the user experience they're trying to achieve.
that honestly is the reason I don't use scenario's. Free roam now is just way easier. if I have to look for so much also thinking of that useless download limit I am back on TSC it feels like
