November 30th, 1957. SP 4274, a AC-11 class Cab Forward, leads a 10 car excursion over Donner Pass somewhere near Gold Run towards Reno, Nevada, tomorrow the excursion would return to Sacramento, as the last run of a Cab Forward over Donner Pass. Shortly after the Cab Forwards would be fully retired from service in 1958, marking the end of the unique locomotive on Southern Pacific's system.
