This a suggestion for if and when you add in steam locomotives. This route is short so it shouldn't be to resource intensive.

The Strasburg Railroad is a historic short line founded in 1832. The route is about 4.5 miles long. The railroad today operates mostly as a tourist line operating steam power 45 minute excursion trains from the East Strasburg Station to Paradise Pennsylvania through beautiful Amish farmlands. At Paradise the railroad's tracks meet up with Amtrak's Keystone Corridor.

While excursion service is the railroad's main business. The railroad does operate some revenue freight service the local farmers. Freight is usually operated by the railroad's diesel switcher but, steam locomotives are sometimes used for freight service as well. Freight is exchanged at Paradise with Norfolk Southern

The railroad is operates excursion most of the year with only a month and a half off season between New Year's Eve and President Day Weekend. Freight service still operates during the off season.

The railroad has one of best steam locomotive shops in the world. The shop can tear down and rebuild locomotives in months. A task that would take most a few years. Most parts are manufactured by the railroad and the is known to manufacturer steam locomotives part for other railroads and organizations that operate steam locomotives worldwide.

In the case that this suggestion is considered. Requested Locomotives

No. 90 an ex Great Western (US) 2-10-0. Build by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1924 This is the railroad's largest and most powerful locomotives. The railroad prefers to use the for the heavier summertime trains and holiday specials. Sometimes used on freight service.

No. 475 an ex Norfolk and Western 4-8-0. Build by Baldwin Locomotive Works. The railroad's second largest and locomotive. The only operating 4-8-0 in the US. Along with regular excursion trains this locomotive is popular for photo charters do to the locomotives history.

No. 89 an ex Canadian National 2-6-0. Build by Canadian Locomotive Works in 1910. A smaller locomotive used more on lighter excursion trains and summertime half hour trains. The steam locomotives on a rotating schedule this is not always the case.

No. 8618 an ex New York Central Railroad SW8. Build by EMD. This locomotive used primarily for freight service and yard work duties. It is only really used as a last resort on excursion service. Strasburg prefers keeps their to excursions steam only.

No. 10 an ex Lancester, Oxford, and Southern Railway Motorcar. Build by Sanders Machine Shop in 1915. The car was gasoline powered but, was covered to diesel in 2009. This unique looking Motorcar sees service on the Strasburg Railroad in early spring and a few days in November when tourist traffic is to low to justify operating their steam locomotives.

Please add at least these 5 locomotives.

If want more details check out railroad's website or contact them directly.

Nice idea, I’m not American or interested in steam locos but it sounds like a nice route that’s a bit different from what usually gets suggested here.

Thanks you. I hope to see more votes. Because of the Strasburg Railroad's frequent operations they are very popular filming location for rail fan video. New YouTube videos of the railroad are posted almost daily during peak season.

A long with the locomotives I mentioned. The railroad modified a 0-6-0 tank engine to look like Thomas The Tank Engine for the kids. It is one of the few steam powered replicas of Thomas. It is used for special events a few weekends a year. Sometimes other tourists railroad's will borrow the Thomas replica. So it is not always on their property.

They should recreate the Strasburg Railroad for TSW. This could be one of the first steam loco DLC. They could introduce Fireman mode or AI Fireman where they animated an avatar to shovel the coal into the engine.

Thank you please upvote suggestion above.
For my opinion on fireman. I would prefer Driver and Fireman to be separate jobs. As it would be in real life. Make a tutorial for both Driver and Fireman. Allow the player to choose between either job and the AI does the other job.
