Are there any plans for a new heritage route to be released in the future?
There are plenty of mainline routes in-game, perhaps it is time to flesh out the heritage side of things.
We only have one heritage railway route, West Somerset Railway, which is a brilliant route, especially after the recent update. However, there are plenty of other lines that deserve the representation ingame, to list some off the top of my head, Great Central Railway, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Severn Valley Railway. And this time, rather than making a diesel gala environment initially perhaps it would be better to go for mixed traction. E.g a manor class and class 50 for svr, Standard 4mt 4-6-2T and class 31 for nymr. Additionally layer locomotives from these routes onto others and vise versa, plus later on loco addons.

If you want another heritage route, best thing to do would be to make a suggestion for one in the suggestions forum.

What would be the point with no more steam traction being made for the game? I had hoped for something different like the West Highland and/or Ffestiniog Railway, Day One purchase but DTG effectively slammed the door on that one. They just want to churn out short electric commuter routes with soulless electric boxes that pretty much drive themselves.

I agree that with no more steam engines or any work to make them actually realistic then another heritage railway is a bit pointless.

If they were to do another I would prefer it to be modelled when the line was open in its heyday. Picking up goods with a tank engine or keeping to time on a local stopper is surely more interesting and atmospheric than shuttling back and forth at 25mph with a massively overpowered locomotive.
