Does this have the same issue as Virtual Tracks' previous DLC in that it overwrites the Kuju passengers?

No, checked that. Ringbahn is clean :)

S25 overwrites these - leading to missing passengers on other routes. I am sure that was a mistake as it's very bad practice to overwrite other DLC's assets. (And almost impossible to find the cause of issues appearing on different routes later on - will the Steam verification do Kuju first then vT - the issue will persist....)
    Kuju\RailSimulator\Scenery\Procedural\Platform Characters 00s DE.bin

It's handy to always have a clean backup of the original Kuju folder. The S25 works perfectly well with the original Kuju platform people.

I bought the non-steam version from TTB a few months ago so I'm interested to know from someone with the Steam version whether the key mappings are still linked to a German keyboard like they are in the original release. I love the route and trains but as a driver of mostly UK DLC the key mappings are frustratingly uncommon.

PS Yes I did read the manual, I tried playing with the manual on a tablet (part of my MSFS set-up) and still things didn't work when they should.

The InputMapper is easy to adjust, tell me your preferred layout and I'll send you a patch.

Oh wow, that would be fantastic. Is Armstrong Powerhouse-style mappings on a UK keyboard do-able?

Bit late to the party on this one, but just grabbed in the sale albeit only 10% off.

First impressions are very nice route and train, a bit different to the earlier S25 route.

You do need to glance at the manual how to set up the train when first dropped in the cab.

    Although it’s a keeper, a few little caveats…
Is there any way the initial pop ups can be localised to English?
SIFA is a bit insidious and wondered if there is a way to isolate this?
Although you don’t fail the objective, being just a couple of minutes late at each station utterly destroys the XP. Another developer who didn’t (or won’t) go and alter the scoring so more lenient. Well at least as Career scenarios you can still be late and get a tick for the objective, unlike Standard.

The manual has dire warnings about not trying to save and resume. Shame this not mentioned on the actual store page when deciding to buy. Guess I’ll find out later whether or not that is an actual issue.

    Little update...

Well I was able to resume from a saved game. Just needed to run through the cab start up procedure again (twice as it happened).
Bonus 1: The SIFA no longer worked.
Bonus 2: The IBIS/PIS still worked and accurately announced the stations.

Though two stations from the end I'm now on something like -30k on the XP so I feel a cloning and scenario scoring parameter change coming on. Don't know whether the route author frequents these forums but something to bear in mind for future.

Despite my general distaste for bus stop type runs (see my frequent disparaging comments in TSW section), this is actually great and a fantastic route. Hoping any enhancement or extension makes its way to the Steam edition.

It does mention in the Manual about isolating the SIFA in Keyboard Shortcuts (P18)

Have you tried the three freight scenarios 9, 10 & 11? I have run them with different locos for some visual change.

I modified one so you are taking an engineers train to sidings

Thanks Peter. Next run I start, or if it comes back on the short time remaining on the current one, I'll kill the SIFA off.

Interesting that none of these S or U Bahn routes seem to apply PZB on the signalling, unless it's off by default when you start - though generally in TSC it's on whereas in TSW it's not. Seems to rely entirely on driver vigilance.

I noticed the freight runs and may try one next. Certainly an excellent value route bundle.

11’ late after completing a complete round, minus 120,000 XP!!

    Most definitely.

Of course it does help to read the manual first.

Now trying one of the DB BR232 freight runs. Absolutely magnificent route which has weaned me off the TSW 218. I also really need to go back and have another play with the S25 Heart Of Berlin, too.
