Got from this tutorial to import audio that Unreal Engine 4.26 seems to support the import of .wav files only, best at a 44.1 kHz sample rate and 16-Bit which both combined is pretty much standard: "Unreal Engine currently imports uncompressed, little endian, 16-bit Wave (WAV) files at any sample rate (although, we recommend sample rates of 44.1 kHz or 22.05 kHz)." So in case you have audio files you want to use, if needed convert them to this format as indicated above. However, if you want to record your own sounds, either Audacity or - dependent upon how complex things you want to do - a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) is needed. Nowadays there are several good free ones available which handle basic but also advanced techniques of audio manipulation and multitrack support. Me 8 years ago didn't had that much of a choice unfortunately, so I bought some for sure overpriced audio software. https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2015/11/11/free-daw-software/
I meant to ask, how I can replace old sounds in an existing loco. I don‘t know, where I can do that, or is everything in these 8 Mixer Files?
