I don't know if it is even possible, but would you consider adding in the section between Waterloo and the connection that Eurostars used to use. It would be a really cool addition, as I'd be able to drive Eurostar services or the one time Southeastern operated to Waterloo instead of their other termini.
It would be great to have, but PDL has a different route origin. Recreating the whole section into Waterloo is too time consuming.
well there are ways you can murge routes with difrent origin's but the people who know are like "look it up online" but they already know that it's nowhere to be found so they methods that exist are only known by a very few selected people and unless your inside there very close secret Circles they will gate keep the information from you believe me, Myself and my friends who are starting serious TS Deving have this issue constantly
The people who know are often more than happy to share information but due to the finicky nature of the sim and complicated process (to the layman) is not something easily shared openly on a forum, I know at least two people proficient in route merging and one of those has mastered the realigning routes of different origins and both of them are really nice guys but does that mean they are "duty bound" to share their knowledge by trying to teach people who more often than not couldn't even place a piece of rolling stock in a scenario?. TLDR:
As Reef said, the complexity of it is probably why there isn't a public document available. If one of the people who do know how to do it would post it on this thread or another at least once the problem is solved, but until then you'll need to ask them directly. I doubt it can be considered gatekeeping (they don't have a legal duty to give out this information for everyone).
A North Kent Lines scenario pack in the works 700041 cruising along the Crossrail tracks for an evening Good Friday peak service to Bedford
A chap on this forum pointed me to a tool I could download but it's quite technical and also he said there was no support for it. So unless you already know how it operates you would be stuck. But in your mind it would be somebody's fault because of that.
I just watched the preview of this route on Steggs youtube channel. My word, it looks absolutely sublime. Incredible detail! Well done to all those involved.
Scenario 3 - 465195+034 sets out towards a storm that's brewing up on a looper service via Abbey Wood
Funny thing is when i used to drive this route for real I couldn't wait to get away from it but in the sim it looks very good so il definitely be back on it, be good to see the old haunts and not have to worry about trouble kicking off on the good old scum line lol
Scenario 5 / 5 - 66547 wedges in the morning rush hour for an odd batch of empties to Angerstein Wharf
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2905241934 14/04/24 V.2.0 released: North Kent Line Deptford to Swanscombe. New requirement: South Western Main Line. Updated Quick Drive will come later
So what would you do next would it be the Sidcup Line or the Bexleyheath line next or would you do both in one go
Just installed the new version - brilliant work! Would you consider updating the older sections over time to look better like the new section? They're already very pretty but the NKL is even better. A free roam I set up to play later. No specific theme, just Southeastern over the past ten or so years combined into one, so there are 375s in the trial liveries, 377s in ex-Thameslink livery, a 707 SWT+SE combo, and the two transitional liveries for the 465.
Part of the original model for London Bridge as per: https://twitter.com/davidtorrance/status/282499814120378369
I have to say hats off to all involved. This has been a route I have been waiting for in train sim for a long time. Can someone remind me if we can drive the spur after Charlton and down to Blackheath from the NKL? Didn't know if passenger services ran on this bit or whether it was mainly used for freight.
You can drive it, one of crankys scenarios from the pack goes that way, well Blackheath to Charlton, haven't tried the rest yet lol.
More work continues on Angerstein Wharf, ripped up the left area of the complex and done more work/rearrangement.
Vaffelen great work on this release! Just had a drive on your Cannon Street to Ramsgate scenario (as far as Rainham) last night. It's so great to be able to drive a new and really long route that I have (partly) done IRL. Once again, you've done a fantastic job with the kitbashing. I noticed a couple of minor issues, but they are in the DTG area of the route, so not surprised if you missed them: 1) There is a missing AWS ramp somewhere between Rochester and Gillingham, and there was a tree growing out of the track somewhere (I think it was between Gillingham and Rainham, but don't quote me on that). Trackwork is very nice. Just a couple of odd dips/bumps, but very minor, so probably not worth fixing. Looking forward to driving Crankybot's scenario pack next.
So the quick drive on the North kent section is when I do Cannon street to Gravesend via woolwich arsenal
