This has been annoying for a while but at some point has to be fixed: since the WCUpt2 the IC coaches do not respond to the door control commands from either the Vectron or the Taurus at all! This ruins the fun of having these cool custom formations, for what? nothing, apparently. Please take note of it.
Yeah I have no idea what happened to the vectron, thing got smashed to bits. I can't even select country voltages now, it is stuck on DE.
About the electric current standard, are we allowed to consider the remote chance that you are forgetting to open the MCB and lower the pantograph BEFORE selecting the new system? I have tested (PS5) the Vectron many times, up to a few minutes ago, and found no problem at all... Regarding the doors, the DoSto coaches are correctly operating, whilst for the IC wagons there are indeed problems. It is actually possible to open the doors sometimes, but even in those cases it seems that the sides are reversed. Moreover, as already indicated several times, it is impossible to control lighting (especially problematic for IC coaches which apparently lack independent switches). These issues with passenger consists, however, were already known and acknowledged (e.g. by cwf.green ).
Indeed. Sadly, despite having been created with a (sort of) cohesive idea in mind, TSW itself looks to me like a rather disjointed game, strictly dependent on boundary conditions, scripts etc. It seems quite difficult to get things working, unless they have been concretely tested one by one. Coming back to your original question, since you mentioned the Taurus besides the Vectron, maybe the IC coaches are the source of the issue? They do work with the 101, but are they really the same ones? Personally, although I own all the in-game Taurus models, I cannot get myself to test any one of them, ugly and dysfunctional as they are in the sim... I hold high hopes for the new Austrian version which should be coming soon... On a lighter note, I think the well known driver/Youtuber IC Lokführer mentioned his difficulties with the curious behaviour of the (real) Vectron's door buttons. Perhaps our game model is setting new standards, also in terms of recreation of faulty equipment?
Have tried it using the correct procedures, yet it is stuck. I may need to try Uninstall and reinstalling the addon to make sure it is not a flunked version. However, luckily, the voltage after awhile comes back even when on DE Strom under ÖBB network.
Exactly nothing has changed with the Vectron that affects door controls. EDIT: Neither with the electrical system. There was one change that only affects consoles and fixed an issue where Sifa was not possible to cancel when not in an active alarm (i.e. it acted sort of like the DDR Sifa, except the interval was not random).
No idea. It's an issue with the coaches, not the loco. I'll inform DTG that there is an issue, but I would still recommend making a ticket since that way you can describe what you did, what happened, and what you expect to happen
