    Hello,

With the arrival of the new locomotive, is it planned an improvement of the Northeast Corridor New York route ? There is some bugs in this DLC, and it is bad optimised (bad framerate sometime).

    - blizzard wind is active and visible even in train stations and tunnels
    - light problem sometimes
    - scenery bugs
    - Some roads and houses float in the air.

    Best regards

    HI Cedric

I hope so, the nec is superb and with the arrival of the SW 1000 it is necessary that it correct all these bugs At the risk of hanging !!! ;)

They do it with the other lines so there’s no reason why they can’t do it with this one.

DTG I will take the SW 1000 as I took all the other DLCs and I really look forward to getting back to work on the NEC.

PS: I wonder what our next destination will be in the USA ? :D

They really took the time to fill out the German routes and recently they have done the same with the U.K. routes so I would assume the announcement of the SW1000R is the start of filling up the USA routes. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next Loco DLC we see is for LIRR!

Would not be surprised at all. My top two contenders at this point are an MP15 or an M3 next.

If it was the MP15 does that mean we would have the possibility to be moving passengers as well as freight on LIRR?

Theoretically, yes... but they don't have a NYAR license, and they operate the freight. I'm sure the community will fill that part of the operation in very quickly once then editor comes out. Just needs a quick repaint, use rolling stock from NEC or CSX, and the scenario makers are off.

What I'd expect from an MP15 pack would be a ballast hopper to go with it or something, though, so I guess that's still freight. That would be neat since we haven't really seen MOW stuff in... well, any train sim, really.

That might not be enough, though, there's only so much you can do with that... so maybe they'd have an M3 and MP15 together in one pack, kind of like the recent BR Heavy Freight Pack or (possibly?) the next SW1000R pack depending on the metroliner cabcar.

Same here... just doesn't seem worth it.

And I'm waiting until a sale regardless, that's something I feel I should start doing for all DLC (I can still get routes on release thanks to preorder discounts, though).

Is that the double decker cab I saw in a picture?

It's not double decker, it's this: [IMG]

The achievements seem to allude to its existence as part of the SW1000R pack, but DTG hasn't said anything about it.

These cab cars have a pretty cool history, I recommend looking them up- despite the looks, they are NOT Amfleets- they're much older than that! Amfleets were in fact based off of these. Yep, these are essentially the driving ends of Metroliner EMU's, America's first attempt at a truly high speed train (didn't go all too well), with the propulsion stuff taken out.

Here is one in it's original form, all the way back in 1968: [IMG]

Oh, and they also have an an amazingly cramped cab and I'd love to drive one in TSW:[IMG]

As for the MP15 idea, I just realized they could include LIRR AND CSX paint, so they could add switching opportunities to all the North American yards in the game, pretty much! Just an idea, of course... I think I'm drifting back towards my baseless speculation thread, lol

Thank you for the info! I used to clean for Amtrak so I got to know those coaches inside and out! I can’t wait to see what they do, the class 08 services included with the BR heavy freight pack was a big step up for shunting.

Hey, with what they seem to be trying to do lately that idea actually is a solid one! I think we are going to see a quality US route next and I think a couple US locomotive DLC to tie everything together. I can’t wait!

Probably for the close calls for all the cars and pedestrians that ignore warning gates!

    That is... a good question...

Also, on an unrelated note, if I'm going to write a post like I did there it should at least be accurate, so I guess I should mention that it seems some of the cab cars had the gangways that were added when converted to cab cars removed (no idea why) and now look like this:

I'm not quite sure how many have had this treatment, and DTG often models less common variants of trains anyway. I could see them doing the gangway variant since it's easier to get into (has an extra door) and they could do more with in in scenarios or services.

Only if it comes with that roll of toilet paper in the cab.
