So I have just been playing the ‘Hot Seat’ scenario for the East Coast Mainline.

I really enjoy scenarios that throw in TSRs (Temporary Speed Restrictions) as they add a little more variety & engagement to the gameplay.

However, I do have one little issue with the way it is currently implemented. I am not a driver in the real world, however I’m fairly sure that drivers would be briefed in advance about speed restrictions in place along the route? (I’m sure somebody will either confirm or deny this)

In the game this doesn’t appear to be the case. There were no advance warnings regarding the locations of these TSRs. This results in the player having to drive at a ridiculously low speed throughout the route to be able to slow down in time because if you travel at the permitted line speed, you will clear the TSR zone before you even reach the imposed speed.

It would be nice if there was a waypoint prior to the restriction being in place for those that rely on the HUD, and/or mention the location(s) of the restrictions in the brief / text messages that display at the beginning of scenario for those that are familiar with the route. I also feel that this could provide a little more encouragement to some users to learn the routes.

I am aware that there are no in-game penalties for not obeying these restrictions, however it does add to the simulation experience if you do obey them

Great idea, drivers in real life get advance notice of any restrictions along their route so something like this would increase immersion.

Could we also get going over them being counted as speeding as well as being briefed so we know to slow down and are forced to?
