I don´t know if this is possible, but a Passenger Counter thats show the Number of Passengers on board (display in the HUD) would by very cool. This suggestion does not bring a huge new game experience, but helps for the immersion to know how much People you have onbord. If NPC´s leave the Train, the number must be decrease, and when someone board the Train the Number increase. If you haul freight only at the Moment, the number shows not the total count of Passengers but the weight of all of your (freight) Waggons. Perhaps you can switch it on/off in the HUD with a Key-Shortcut.
I agree this would be a cool feature, maybe added to the Overview info when you hit ESC. I've often wondered while playing passenger services, do I have 50 people on board? 150? Just how much humanity am I transporting at a given time? DW
I’d say this is perhaps something for the pause menu rather than having it on the HUD. But in my personal opinion I really don’t think it would change much at all in terms of immersion
