Hi! Does anyone make sheets for route learning or HUDless driving? I started making my own for FCL and I find it fun, but very time consuming. So if anyone else are making these that's publically available, I would greatly appreciate if I could save them.
Here my sheets from bakerloo with the links for the youtube RL drivers training. The charts are for simulation only, i took the speed limit of TSW. I did an entire Speed Chart for No Hud driving, where this driving experience becomes very interessting. The route is very well made by DTG, i recommend you to figure out the "limit of shunt" for the depot moves, or just use the map. DTG implemented even the Push Buttons on Signals or Tunnel Walls for asking the permission. Take a look at the "route direction indicators" when you might have to cross over the sidings at elephant castle. If you doing well, you are able to finish the services with less than 4 mins delay and you could technicly continue the entire 24h without delay the a.i services. It just needs a little practise & training. Another Tip: Close the doors 5 seconds before the time of the task is up, so you can keep the schedule thight.
Excellent stuff, exactly what I've been looking for. Do you have something like this for other routes as well?
I highly recommend you check out Dad Rail’s Glossop Line Route learning video on YouTube. That video really helped me learn the route very quickly, and I can now drive it without the HUD. I believe he also has one for Edinburgh to Glasgow. It’s all about which way you learn best - for me watching videos such as Dad Rail’s Route learning video and hearing him explain helped me learn much quicker than if I were to drive the route myself and make notes.
Here are driver route guides (buchfahrplane) for the German routes. I keep them in a binder. Very handy! https://rail-sim.de/forum/filebase/filebase/1751-buchfahrpläne/
