Right now I#m trying to do the RB 23316 in journey mode. Waiting at Klingenberg at a permanent red light for about 10 minutes... Another train passed somewhat short after I arrived, but signal don't turn geen. Dispatcher always says "Wait for signal to change...service not completable
Just checked that and can confirm. Sadly, there are a couple of services on Maintalbahn where something like this happens. The issue with this particular one is there's another train coming from Aschaffenburg, which basically gets signalled through all the way along the whole route. Talk about a green wave. The train is most likely RE 4389, departing Aschaffenburg at 11:24. At the time I reached Klingenberg, it's about to depart from Aschaffenburg Süd. I removed it on the map, and the Signal at Klingenberg immediately jumped to green One more odd thing I noticed about this service: At Kleinheubach, Obernburg and Kleinwallstadt one is set to stop at platform 1, which is usually used for trains heading south instead of northbound services like this one. Not a big deal, just thought it was... peculiar. And I arrived at Aschaffenburg with about +7 minutes of delay The 642 was just not made for me...
This journey service *IS* completable! You just have to be patient to let the traffic pass. It's a single track line after all. The pathing is indeed somewhat odd which is accountable for those significant delays. But then again: From my memories a 35 min delay seems quite DB prototypical and you won't be able to stick to the timetable anyways, not with this anemic DMU. Oncoming traffic at Klingenberg will clear the track at 11:48. Then there's another wait at Obernburg before you can continue to Aschaffenburg ...
So, as far as I understand the editor, mainly a "dispatch beyond" problem (on routes with large portions of single track you can only set the dispatch beyond from one bypass area to the next, not continously for the whole route, as other ways the first train who departs would block out the whole route and all other trains...), maybe paired with a pathing inconsisty...at least not a completely undoable fix...
