Manchester Piccadilly to stoke on trent lime is a lime operated by northern rail the line uses class 323’s and the route takes approximately 45 mins the fastest time is 37 mins. 77 trains per day travel to and from.( I dunno if that is northern line alone).I am going to show pics on the line now. Northern rail class 323228 at stoke on Trent Class 323 at stockport Class 323229 at Manchester Piccadilly Class 150 at stoke on Trent That’s it for now What do you think about this
This is a very good idea, but without the class 323, it looks pretty much the same as the 166... Change the Class 323 to the Class 150 and it's a winner imo.
This looks like a pretty good idea- I did some research on this line a bit earlier myself, since it's just the right length for a TSW route and since the 323's are unbranded they might be able to do them without a Northern license. It may be on the short end for an express route, but since all the other WCML options are too long and this has 4 stations that Virgin Trains stops at, I think it would be a pretty good candidate to include the Class 390 on. So yeah, I could totally see this coming with a 323, 390, and 66. IDK about the 150 since it doesn't travel the whole route as far as I can tell. They could do a Class 220 for it also, but since CrossCountry runs trains on all kinds of routes, it might work better as a loco DLC so it could be bought for and used on other routes. Found a nice video of the line, too:
