The reason I have suggested this route is because this is my local route and I would be really happy if this route was added into the game. The stops that are on this route are : London Waterloo Vauxhaull Queenstown Road Clapham Junction Earlsfield Raynes Park New Malden Berrylands Esher Hersham Walton-On-Thames Woking Brookwood Farnborough Fleet Winchfield Hook Basingstoke Micheldever Winchester Shawford Eastleigh Southampton Airport Parkway Swaythling St Dennys Southampton Central Millbrook Redbridge Totton Ashurst (New Forest) Beaulieu Road Brockenhurst Sway New Milton Hinton Admiral Christchurch Pokesdown For Boscombe Bournemouth Branksome Parkstone Pool Hamwothy Holton Heath Wareham Wool Moreton Dorchester South Upwey Weymouth. And the locos that run on this route are: Class 450 EMU Class 444 EMU Class 455 EMU (sometimes) Class 158 DMU If you do this for me I will make a Youtube video about it and I will be really happy with it Yours Sincerely Travel A2B
I would be sold if they did it in the 80s with 4reps and cromptons but apart from that I would not buy it but still an interesting line
The only problem with this idea is that the entire journey is 119 miles in length, it would probably take a long time + they would have to find a way to get a SWR license for it. and it would probably get boring to, as probably insane people would do the entire Weymouth - LW services.
Maybe london to Southampton would be good and like maybe connect bakerloo line steps between mainline and underground stations
The Portsmouth direct is probably more responsible for tsw. But any line in the south western is hopeful
The Portsmouth direct line would be the most ideal national rail route in my opinion. I would love if TSW4 introduced the SWR to their franchise
As noted the whole route is too long. My personal dream would be a retro 70’s/80’s take on the route, from Weymouth to maybe Southampton, so we could have 4 REP’s with 4TC’s between Southampton and Bournemouth, with Class 33/1 push pull working to and from Weymouth. Weymouth Quay line and the boat trains also to be included. The Class 47 could layer in on inter regional services to/from Poole on a Summer Saturday some of these extended through to Weymouth. The Class 101 DMU not strictly accurate for the area could cover Weymouth to Bristol services to/from Dorchester West. Subsequent DLC could be a 4CIG/BIG formation for the Bournemouth semi fasts, maybe a 4VEP too which could also do retro layers on BML and SEHS.
Maybye at least Basingstoke to Weymouth and the stops that are in this route are: Basingstoke Micheldever Winchester Shawford Eastleigh Southampton Airport Parkway Swaythling St Dennys Southampton Central Millbrook Redbridge Totton Ashurst (New Forest) Beaulieu Road Brockenhurst Sway New Milton Hinton Admiral Christchurch Pokesdown For Boscombe Bournemouth Branksome Parkstone Pool Hamwothy Holton Heath Wareham Wool Moreton Dorchester South Upwey Weymouth.
I'm not sure, but I made a suggestion which split the entire SWR network into parts that can be developed by DTG. I'd appreciate feedback on it.
