I think that freights aren't class 5, which is reserved for empty passenger stock I believe.

Freight should be Class 4 or Class 6if memory serves me right.

Class 1 is express passenger, Class 2 local passenger, Class 5 empty stock.

Freights are 4 & 6, mostly; I wonder what the ones in game should be...:)

Again, just look at the headcode. They're all there in the timetable; and if you forgot to notice before you launched the service,, then go to the Pause menu and select "Schedule."

In my experience all UK freight services in DTG are given proper 4 or 6 headcodes, or 5 when appropriate.

But my point is that they are all class 5!

    • A headcode beginning with a 6 (e.g. 6G67) would be a freight train limited to 60mph, usually these are either aggregate workings or engineers workings.

    • A headcode beginning with a 4 (e.g. 4S44) would be a freight train limited to 75mph, usually these workings are intermodals.

    • A headcode beginning with a 7 (e.g. 7A48) would be a freight train limited to 45mph, I'm not entirely sure what workings these would be usually - apologies about that!

    - I'm not sure why the ones in the game are a 5, which is an Empty Coaching Stock, but I guess it's not too bad as you don't see your headcode once driving (unless you go into the pause menu obviously) because the GSMR doesn't work on the 66.

AFAICT, the only 66 runs on Ed-Gla are hauling dead 385s, so they would count as ECS moves.

The engineering runs (with the Seacow wagons) should be a 6 headcode, not sure if it is but earlier comments suggest they aren't...

    Thanks all.
I think they should be class 6 then, engineering. So I'll drive at 60 mph max :)
    Pootle, pootle...

Yeah, engineering is 6, so 60mph.
It's a shame the game doesn't automatically enforce that but oh well... Maybe in the future! Hopefully!!

Yup, you're right. Those are 5s in the game also, but they ought to be 6s (once upon a time I think MOW trains were 3s, but no longer)
