Good day everyone, I am hoping I may be able to receive assistance. Recently, I needed to format my workstation and reinstall Windows. Once I reinstalled everything and launched TSW, when signing into my dovetail live, I had to recreate the user avatar and it brought me back to level 1. I thought TSW synced with Steam but didn't realize the progress file was stored on the C drive. Due to this, I lost all my progress and have to recomplete all scenarios again. Similarly with TSC, I also lost alot of the scenario progress that I completed. Luckily there is a fix for that but in. I hope it's possible to get my scenario and timetable progress back. Currently it looks like I will have to start all over with TSW, back at level 1 instead of level 87
Is it possible you have saved the Documents>My Games folder elsewhere as a backup? Possibly in the cloud, or maybe on a separate hard drive? Perhaps it is stored in a backup you made of your computer. If not, then I am afraid there is little hope of retrieving your progress. I am very sorry.
I believe I may have mistakenly cleared the documents folder upon having some of my documents sync via OneDrive App. I should have kept everything local because when I tried to reverse the sync and change the target location from OneDrive to my C drive, it created a duplicate of each of my home folders within the documents folder. Thank you for the suggestion. I believe I have a very early backup of my PC on one of my externals. It may not contain most of my TSW4 progress but something is better than nothing. From what I was reading online, it appears through Steam, cloud saves is a feature that is not present for TSW, but only TSC at the moment. Hopefully in the future, cloudsaves are possible for TSW
None of the TSW games use steam cloud why I don't know as it makes it harder if you have multiple PC's or a PC and a laptop really hope they include it in future TSW's or even add it to TSW4.
