I thought that I'd put together a list of potential options for locomotive dlc to fill some of the UK routes and help bring them to life based on real world operations during the relevant periods. So many places are too spartan at present with nowhere near the real world level of variety. The list is as follows... GWE Class 57 + Mk3 Sleeper rakes Class 165/1 Turbo Class 180 Adalente Class 332 Heathrow Express Class 360/2 Desiro Heathrow Connect WSR Class 14 Teddybear Class 35 Hymek Class 42 (and 43) Warship IoW Class 03 Shunter Class 05 Shunter Class 485/486 Vectis units NTP Class 25 Rat Class 31 (already in game) Class 55 Deltic Class 123 Express DMU Class 124 TP DMU Class 128 DPU Class 141 Pacer WCL Class 43 HST Valenta Class 50 Hoover Class 118/122 DMU DLoGW Class 22 Baby Warship Class 35 Hymek Class 42 and 43 Warship Class 117/121 DMU Class 123 Express DMU Class 128 DPU Western Blue Pullman Diesel sets ECML Class 55 Deltic with Mk2 a/c rakes Class 91 with Mk4 +DVT rakes Goblin Class 150 Sprinter Class 170 Turbostar (already in game) Class 378 Capitalstar ECW Class 171 Turbostar (variant already in game) Class 377 Electrostar variants TVL Class 56 Grid Class 142 Pacer (already in game) MML Class 43 HST Blue Pullman set Class 60 Tug Class 70 GE Diesel Class 153 Sprinter Class 156 Sprinter Class 222 Meridian PFV Class 44, 44 and 46 Peak (45 already in game) Midland Blue Pullman Diesel sets SoS Class 40 Whistler I hope that this list is of interest and that at least some of these types are considered for future dlc projects. Many areas would feel far more alive if even a few of these were made and released.

The class 485/486 who'd need a new route for the island when they were in service Ryde pier was still double track and the line between Brading and Sandown was also double track and smallbrook wasn't a station (nothing was there). Sandown also still had its signal box it was only broken up at the end of 485/496 service life on the island as the class 483s (38 stock) was coming over the line that was removed from Brading to Sandown was donated to the steam railway for the extension to smallbrook
I believe that Brading was shut in the 1960s and all track lifted. The steam railway goes to Wooton as far as I know. Agreed that it would require a few mental adjustments to make it work but still it would be interesting to see them again.
They ran until around 2018 and the Hitachi IET introduction to supplement the HSTs. One was in fact partially reliveried for Old Oak Common 111 open day in 2017 with GWR green and Legends of the Great Western decals. There was a brief window in the 2000s when FGW withdrew them due to technical problems but they were later reintroduced to the fleet.
Nope the line stayed double tracked up to to 1980s and was used on the extension to smallbrook from Havenstreet. As a fact the class 05 Nuclear Fred was the last loco to go up the line from smallbrook to Havenstreet before the line was lifted she was left by BR and used a children play thing before the steam railway saved her and she was used on the extension she is now mostly a museum pice as she is a poor state (mechanically).
Wot, no Class 120 Cross Country, replete with farting exhaust sound!! Class 108 might be more suitable for WCL at that point in time and have application elsewhere, too. But seriously, loads of scope for additional loco and unit DLC that would sell like hot cakes, even more so if combined with a little LIRR style route extension. And you could sign me up Day One for the Teddy Bear on WSR!
I probably misplaced the 118 and should have put the 108 in its place. As for the 120, I wasn't 100% sure where to place it entirely. Both are a definite yes from me. With around 30 first generation dmus to choose from, I am surprised that we only have 1 with only one more on the horizon. The more the merrier.
