Why Was Harlem Line Cut So Short

The whole route is 83miles but electric trains only run the 53 mile from southeast to GCT. Why didn’t DTG include the portion from NWP to Southeast

 

Why you bringing this up like 2-3 Years later?

 

They said in the original stream they had to decide whether to keep it short and flesh out the existing section or make it longer and possibly sacrifice the detail/ quality of the route I think

 

Also it was built when Covid was still a fairly major issue and probably prevented the research and site visits to gather more information. People were working from home rather than collaborating in the studio.

 

Nah I was just wondering cause I think it’s up on the list of 10 top routes made by DTG so why cut it short but I got the answer already

 

I would like to see more done on Metro North, i enjoyed Harlem line a lot.

 

I’m glad TSW is in a state where this isn’t much of a problem anymore.

 

An MTA extension (either Harlem line out to Southeast or another one of the branches out of Grand Central) would be fantastic IMO, and would really benefit from TOD4 and, especially, bridge/tunnel reverb.

Does MNRR run the M9 at all? If so, that would be a good candidate for the train to include since they just made it for LIRR.

OTOH, they had some issues with MTA with licensing so maybe not right away.

 

One of my favorite routes in the game. Just Lots of fun, busy, and for being build during COVID they did an excellent job. Would love to see an extension to either southeast or better yet make it twice as busy with an extension to Stanford with the M8
