yeah I haven't played it as much as I want. I wonder how much the 218 will add to there. and I'd love the beige and blue "conny" livery to be on CC too.

I've said before I think HRR would make sense to get a SEHS style extension with a new game. Bochum is a weird end point so have it go to Dortmund and include the ICE with the route.

Dortmund for the HRR is an obvious choice, yes. For a way less extreme example, W-Vohwinkel for RRO.
Liège for SKA I would also agree, if ever Belgium becomes a thing, but seeing the multiple timetables with one still being WIP, I have my doubts.

    ....anything Duesseldorf? Please?

NRW aside, it is very obvious that RT would benefit the most from a complete (probably to re-buy) do-over, so the overground main station there. It would also be cool but probably a pipe dream given the size (and current performance issues) to have Rosenheim added to MAG.

Although cool. HRR to the Netherlands is really long. BRO might be on the limit of possible. and with a new country DTG needs to learn new infra, safety systems and operating uses in a country. research that can take up to two years. if any they are busy with the recent addition of austria at the moment. although a lot of new countries are cool, we'll end up with a lot of single train routes as you see with new countries now. Austria getting one new loco per route means it's gonna take about a year now to get the common trains like the 1144, RJ, Cityshuttle 2016, 5047 and the Desiro mainline. to name a few. I'd love to see the Netherlands ingame but I say it's highly unlikely for the coming 3 years. the country is too small to be considered "world" anyways.

    1. Poll option: Cologne-Aachen extension to Frankfurt

This is very unlikely to happen. SFS Aachen-Cologne is already 77km. The SFS from Cologne to Frankfurt is 180 km. In total 257 km. So you basically would extend a - in TSW standards - pretty long route by an - in TSW standards - immensely large route.

Facing the fact that performance is a huge problem for Dovetail Games and they even have problems with this on way shorter routes and one single metropole, I wouldn't think about what they would say if you plan to cooperate Cologne and Frankfurt plus the landscape sections in between plus Aachen and whatelse other cities into one single route.

Yes, many people wish that the SFS Cologne Frankfurt will come into the game, but just by the idea to do that by an extension to another route is with respect to the technical limitations almost impossible I would say.

I'd say the entire FS is a bit much for DTG to say we'll do that although it'd be very cool. Maybe do part of it and extend it to the airport branch and the mainline to Siegburg/bonn. sounds doable to me

Whilst not exactly extensions, I would like to see:
RRO - open up the freight line/ sidings between Ennenpetal and Schwelm
SKW - open up the slow lines that go via Burgsinn (much of the track is already laid.) to allow us to run other services.
SKA - The local line between Stolberg and Langerwehe, via Eschweiler Tal. again some of this track already exists. It could also be extended to Welkenraedt.
Rolling stock for these lines now exist and it would bring further variety to each of the routes.

Additionally, services for the SKW and SKA options would, I think, have their own timetable so there would be no impact on the existing service timetable.

Regarding extending HRR to the Netherlands it can be shortened to Arnhem Centraal 145 km length that is broken down into segments 99km Duisburg-Oberhausen-Arnhem & Hauptstrecke Rhein-Rhur 46 km. Regarding the second route Wunderline Bremen Oldenburg Leer(Ostf) Groningen 173 km but can be broken down into two segments the easier one 130km Oldenburg Hbf Leer(Ostf) Groningen 44km existing. These two shortened Germany to the Netherlands route still no match to Schnellfahrstrecke Hannover Würzburg Kassel Wilhelmshöhe Würzburg Hbf 186 km.

Dresden Flughafen! And maybe Ruhr-Sieg Osten for a remaster. Love that route and it hasn't aged well in comparison to the new ones of course :)
Dresden is my most favorite German route and I just miss the airport section. It is teased in timetable, with you driving basically just one station and it ends, but the groundwork was laid out, it just needs a lot of additional work.

Which one Bremen-Groningen or Duisburg/Bochum-Arnhem? The latter one is doable since it's the same length or slightly longer than Peterborough to Doncaster 130 km. If DTG wanted Bremen-Groningen they can do it as this Oldenburg Groningen 130km and then merge BRO to it making it 174km.
