Is it true that Dovetail games have stopped producing steam locomotives for TSW4?

I am gutted as I would have loved a Pannier or/and Prairie Tank Engine in the game before they did. Great for shorter journeys and shunting.

Wouldn’t be bothered if they had a smaller engine in the games as now you can spawn the steam engines to any route.

Maybe some other developer may do one some day!

Not to mention some of the American locos that are the most famous in the world (Pere Marquette 1225, UP "Big Boy")

Yes it is true, we are stuck with what they have left us unless some clever modders can do something. Silent AI steam engines are here to stay so it seems!

Also note how DTG keeps mum on the reasoning behind this topic...

Im a fan of steam, but in this case lets be honest, currently the entire experience related to steam is better on train sim classic, except the visual part. Big mistake to release a half arsed experience and blame customers for not buying this. Also DTGs fire and forget crashed steam right onto the wall. Who wants an empty Crewe with not a damn single loco dlc? Yes...., nobody.

What DTG did with steam, is comparable to a new patron of a company, who takes over and ruins the company with bad decisions and businesscases in about a very short time. Thats not the customers fault..

Setting high hopes in a 3rd party dev, who gives this another chance by overhauling the core and finish where DTG stopped with excuses only.
