The trains that that work at day and night these are like battery locos for LU lines and maybe railtours tampers that level the tracks via gravel and more.
Although unlikely, special services like those or the RHTT are very cool to liven up the timetable. I think trackworks trains will mostly be if even implemented a to-from trip carrying wagons. so the first three would be possible. the fourth pic maybe as a scenario. but that orange work train I sincerely doubt even if possible to make ingame many people are interested in driving it. would be a great use on Salzburg - Rosenheim since Robel, the operator of a few of those is right next to Freilassing and regularly stores their equipment at the museum
In reality of course most possession (T3) trains would be fairly dull. Work to possession limits, admit to site then 20 MPH to the actual work location and sit there for several hours while loaded or unloaded. 20 MPH again to the protection then transit back to the yard. Tamping could be fun though.
I agree they aren't the most fun services. but like RHTT for example. or the agreggate or coal loading on american or british routes. I think they do add some interesting service variation or something special like railtours to see on a sometimes x time you do the same passenger service. the timetable on RSN (thanks matt) really comes alive with the shunting of cement and logs in Boele yard for example. For my own timetable I'm going to try and get a maintenance train in to Salzburg for example. Although this isn't something many players want or something that'll sell well I'd say. Personally I'd love to see something special like this. maybe the BR 218 can get a few rescue timetable runs like the loco addon pack Rail operation group class 37 has
the battery loco can be used in loads of way btw as well like railtours like these and maybe drags for LU also rhtt can be repainted for LU use maybe as well
