Often you don't get engine sounds or only for a short time span while driving the BR 187. Most of the time you only hear the wheels and the wagons and maybe the environment around. Also the sounds outside near the loco are most of the time may to loud or also not present. Sometimes you get engine sounds when starting but they randomly disappear and don't fade in again...
