    Hello everyone.

I have a problem with displaying Google Maps images on my landscape cells.

In fact it takes a very long time to load, and when a few dozen images from Google Maps have been loaded and displayed, the other images do not want to be loaded and displayed. To summarize, it's as if some images don't want to load. I show that to you in an example below. (attachment/image)

Problem Google maps with landscape tiles.png

Do you know what is the problem please ?
Assumption 1 >> Only 2 .hgt files for a very large map, which could cause a long loading time.
Assumption 2 >> The quality of the displaying setting.
Assumption 3 >> Not enough .hgt files.
Assumption 4 >> Not Lidar data on the cells.
Assumption 5 >> It could be something else or a bug.

    I will be very grateful.
    I'm desesperate.
Otherwise, I would be forced to pause my project or abandon it.

    Thank you for your help.
    Have a nice day.

Normally in the last months, a simple reload (untick and enable) the Overlay again solved the problem. If this don't, then a cold restart of the Editor.

However, I also experience in the last time more Overlay errors then before I think. The loading time for the highest quality always were quite long, but could be that it increased a bit since a while as well.

I don't think any of your assumptions has something to do with it. The Overlay is independent of the quality of the terrain DEM and consider that it's only loaded for the landscape tiles close next to you, so it shouldn't matter how large your hgt files are.

Also a quick tip here: Just go closer to the surface (not so high as shown in your screenshot) and then enable the Overlay. This should focus the Overlay inquery on the smaller area are in focus.

But I rather think an update to the Editor did a decrease in this functionality.

Just to be safe: Did you created the Google Cloud account of yours for the access to API tools before than 90 days? If yes, you need to upgrade it as Google restricts the access then if you don't and doesn't let the Overlay spawn new satellite images. Already happened to me before. Luckily, I got an advice from another user about that as 3 months after I forgot that circumstance.
