This was previously reported and is on the Jira. “Service 864 Penn station to Long beach is incorrectly label on train PIS and CDP as shown here at Jamaica station track 7. Train PIS and station PIS has Penn Station. Should have Long Beach showing instead” hope this information helps.
Island Park platforms is a mosh pit. Passengers goes there for slamming. Their spawn continuously and ignore the trains. Fix it or add some brutal breakdown as soundtrack for this station.
I figure I post this here also to show .how good the signaling is on the route. Matt mentioned it on the Preview stream about you basically being able to plug in a diesel service into the current timetable and dispatcher is able to handle it ever during peak rush hour. I have been able to do it on many diesel only services.”This was simulating service 507 from Oyster Bay to Jamaica with Diesel stock during Rush hour and shows how good the signaling is as it handles the extra chaos thrown in. Used custom formation of F125 on each end with four NJT multi-level. Speed 2X. Hopefully one day we can get highly requested DM30AC and C3 coaches in a DLC. There're plenty of services that can be used especially in Hunterspoint”
MAX1319, if you used the F40 from Boston MTA which has ATC and ASCES, would these function on here? Having the dual mode unit would be great so you could take it into Penn as well as doing the switch from diesel to third rail.
Good point. I haven't tried it myself. something I will investigate in the future. You know me, I'm from NY so kind of forgot about the F40 From MTA. lol. Just finished simulating 815 Port Jefferson- Hunterspoint Ave broken into two parts. will post later. Go Yankees!!!
“yeah so we fixed clipping at New York Penn, but there’s clipping at Island park for some reason” What happened to quality control?
That has been previously reported and is on the Jira system. Thank you for pointing it out.Hope this helps
This route is nice, but not worth the cost for the minimal upgrades. DTG needs to do a few things to make it better: -Add DE30AC / DM30AC -Extend the route to Montauk, Port Jefferson or Greenport The route is not long enough, and the expansion to Long Beach and included M9 (which seems to reuse largely a lot of M7 textures) does not justify the price of the route. If the above DLC or extension is not done for a steeply discounted price to owners of the current route, DTG should return nearly 70% of the revenue collected to the purchasers of the route. The extension to Long Beach is only a few miles; this is as we say in the US - highway robbery. I am disappointed in the decisions made here, which is a rarity for me.
I would love to see DM30AC in the future. In the meantime, here’s a simulated service 815 Port Jefferson- Hunterspoint Ave broken into two parts.. Another Rush hour service amongst the EMU . Just incredible how good the signaling is on this route. Kudos Brandon.
Although I would’ve loved to see these locomotives added to the game, dovetail didn’t add any sections of the route that are non-electrified so it wouldn’t have really made sense to add them I don’t think.
Agree. But we could had a busy operation at Hunterspoint and LIC. since most of the diesel terminate and originate out of there. And probably lots of ECS to in and out of morris park. Let’s crossed fingers that one day we can get something like Oyster bay branch or other.
PS5: I expirienced a couple of crashes today. They seemed to be quite random, so I didn't write the service down. But I sent reports to Sony with #DTGreview Most of them happened while on full speed or harsh braking and mostly between Penn Station/Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica... Nevertheless, I like this route.
Oh wow, adding a handful of miles to a route that is already short and calling it 150% expansion. Multiplying a small number tends to do that. Furthermore, the ACSES equipment that lies in the middle of the gauge is missing entirely.
Opinion still stands, if you don't like it don't keep posting your attempts to validate mediocrity from the developer. This forum section is player feedback, not a place for you to argue with people. [Removed; insulting - DTGHarry]
When's the day we're gonna stop attacking each over other people's opinions :/. If you don't like someone else's opinion then that's fine, but be respectful about it. If you like the route great, but if you don't that's also great and I look forward to hearing why. But please... Stop attacking each other over someone else's opinions, in this case you are both in the wrong here. It's stuff like this that shows why this community is a walking joke.(notice how I left a positive, but brutally honest review)
As an fyi. The M9 didn't reuse any of the M7s textures. It wouldn't have make sense in the first place, as the they're both completely different models and texture sets. So to answer your question no they did not reuse any of the M7s textures, but I don't blame you for thinking like this
I see. Honestly I never noticed that East Coastway had SDO. But if two routes already have SDO, then I don't see why it couldn't have been implemented on the LIRR
yes, you can, left or right click (on PC) on the train blocking traffic. remove the train confirm Bye bye sleeping beauty This little problem spoils the fun of the new NY Penn time table. We don't know if we're supposed to wait because traffic wants us to, or if it's a bug that requires the hand of the gods. There are also a couple of problems, including one with the 3d of one of the new stations... and I'm not talking about the donkey in the car or another with rain on the windows of a passenger car, which really twisted my brain.
I got a reply from Brandon and Here's what he says: "It's likely how the core interface works. The MBTA train is using a different function in the SEI_ACSES_ATC interface to get information from the signal system than the LIRR trains are. Basically the train isn't able to get the required information from the signal system. But this isn't a problem because the MBTA stock was never designed to work outside its intended routes"
passengers are all still on the train after finishing a service at west side yard. shouldn't they all have gotten off at NYP? lol Train 2309 PC / Steam
Honestly, I feel like journey mode doesn't do this route justice. It wasn't until I started running some services in the traditional timetable mode where I really started noticing the variety on the route. This timetable is just so so good. Bravo!
It's for sure more than just trains getting stuck in line on their way into Penn, they also seem to be getting stuck between Penn and West side yard as well. I know that a fix for the dispatcher is unrealistic as it's hard to diagnose where the issues arise since the timetable is simulated from one point instead of multiple points (due to the player having the ability to spawn in at any time), but it would be lovely if there was at least a way for us to know which trains were the issue so we knew what to delete. I've gotten rid of 3 trains so far and it still gets stuck again after a few of them begin to move. I don't know how possible this is, but seeing a train maybe change color on the map screen (if there is an issue with it or if it's stuck) would be a MAJOR help in getting the line cleared up so we can finish our services. ex. the train could be highlighted in red indicating there is an issue. Wouldn't be too bugged about it if it rarely happened, but I've noticed this happening on almost all the services I've played about 20-30 minutes after starting them.
Most of the dispatcher issues happen Between 725am-8:30am in the morning. So any service that starts within 5 minutes of those times will possibly have issues within the service. Hope this information helps
With the problems of the AI dispatcher being, I believe, a core issue. Who knows how long it is going to take to fix.
My claim is this: -In the script of the conductor, there are absolutely no passengers on the entire section of the path. -He m3 do not open passenger doors and on a free trip it does not move. but only displays the locking of traction with a red contour at the figure of the thrust level (in an extended interface)
I just hope they allocate recourses to try and fix it eventually as it’s affecting most routes with bigger timetables now. Can only cross my fingers. the amount of social media posts on the TSW Facebook page I’ve seen from casual players who aren’t on the forums about the stuck trains. I’ve seen at least 20 today. It’s for sure one of the biggest issues right now. I took an M3 service out of NYP just after 8am all the way to Hicksville, then took another service all the way back and it was a nightmare when I got around to trying to clear NYP. Gonna do a few runs out of NYP after 11am today and see how things go.
Remember how on NJT certain services would get stuck if you try the service but if you spawn in it worked fine, is a very similar situation for LIRR2
As I’ve played now about 35 services I figure good time to do a few more observations. With that said, we all have different opinions on what is ok, and what not ok. I will admit, there are small issues with the route that would be game/deal breakers if it was other games, but I’m going to be as fair as I can in my opinion, though will go back and forth in my observations. 1. After multiple drives of multiple services, I find myself enjoying the route MORE with the safety systems on, I personally never had them on for any route before LIRR update, and I’m a fan!! I am on the side that the more realistic a simulation game, the better. 2. There are some confusing issues with the safety system that may be correct in real life; but are a bit “touchy” with this route. For example, if I run a service to valley stream (far rockaway) I find that the safety system kicks in because of the red signal and I am penalty braked about 85 ft before the stopping point. 3. I personally find this route to be the best I’ve played in awhile from enjoying driving the route. Keeps me on my toes (no YouTube watching waiting for next station!!). I really appreciate being able to be so immersed. 4. The sounds of trains/tracks especially is good! I don’t recall before hearing that as good as it is in this route. The lighting of stations as well as driving in any conditions at night are quite good!! 5. Per my previous review, I am not in the camp that a few stuck trains are a problem, as I’ve learned how to handle that quickly. However as been mentioned, I don’t love a crash of the route after an hour from Long Beach in the rush hour morning after 45 minutes or so into the service but I’m sure this will be fixed. my thoughts on this route remain the same. A few bugs to work out (not meaning dispatcher but in general). It seems to me that DTG responding to multiple quick issues (replying the forum) is a good sign that this kind of route is to and will be expected coming forward. I personally love this route, and a couple small fixes will make it as good as I could expect from a product today. We all can find little bugs, but let’s deal with those to be able to enjoy our small little slice of the gaming market. I wish people would not be going to WW3 every time a small issue comes up. Give them a chance. I was frustrated myself with US content and got strong into UK waiting for this. Well, if this review means anything, I haven’t touched any other route than this since it came out, and I am extremely happy with the product after purchase. Small issues will annoy, but for me, this has been well worth the money so far, and I expect I will get a long time enjoyment of the route (years). This may be my favorite DLC so far (that being said by my 162 level of M7 from the previous “empty” version. additions to the route could be done, not length but I really hope they bring the switcher in. It would be cool to see that at Jamaica. Question for everyone here who knows more than me. The yard right out of Jamaica towards Atlantic. It’s empty there still, what is that yard in real life? I’ve seen some reviews here point out everything wrong but still rate 7/8 out of 10. That’s better than most I’ve seen, and I would call it an 8/10 because of a few issues but would call a 9.5/10 if a fix can be found for the couple crashes I’ve had going into NYC in the rush hour time.
Dovetail, you guys killed it in the scenario department. They are phenomenal! More specifically double duty! Really crossing my fingers on that conductor mode sometime in the possibly not-so-near future!
Is it just me or does anyone else think the Wreck lead bridge is higher up in the water or something? Here’s reference: (FYI: The bridge isn’t touching the water)
I know this is more for the NEC, but still, it explains very nicely and above all, CLEARLY and to the point, what is ACSES, how it operates, even how it enforces stuff if the operator/engineer fails to comply... it is done by SIEMENS, the ONES who actually implemented ACSES on NEC IRL... very good and interesting read, if I had a printer handy, I would even print and highlight stuff in this... cheers
Has anyone completed the ACSES departure test on the M7? I always end up at signal 6. Then I don't know how to continue.
I'm playing on PS5 and have had three instances now of the game completely crashing & quitting. So far it's happened when in the tunnels approaching Penn station. Can't remember the exact train, it's one of the journey mode runs and one of the first options that's something like Jamaica to Penn.
I havent noticed that. But i do know that tides out here are pretty active. We have decent high and low tides irl
