So I am a bit confused... trying to find all the switches for safety systems, but there are only two, labeled DSD and Vigilance... once I turn both of them on, got to press acknowledge and it seems to also have turned on AWS... I watched also this video: And he has completely different labels there - DSD matches, then he has DRA where I have Vigilance, and AWS where I have Spare... I am totally confused now... I just want to drive with all safety stuff on and I dont know if they changed it since then or fixed it
then why is this so confusingly labeled? I mean... DSD is what it is... but Vigilance used to mean that thing that would go off every half minute or so, like Alerter or Sifa, not AWS/TPWS
anyway, during my "research" aka trying to find stuff out about safety systems and other things on class 43 HST used on MML, I came across this old thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/class-43-slow.14766/ what caught my attention was the discussion about two power cars... and when playing, I noticed using 2 and 3 cameras, that only front power car was producing smoke from exhausts, the rear one didnt... so I wanted to ask - do both power cars produce power, controlled only from the front car? and if yes, then the acceleration would still be kinda slow? or is it normal that only one power car is active aka the one that is leading? I mean, I did one run on MML, and I always came ahead of time, so...?
I don't know how TSW sims it, but using only the front cab, the MML 43 does accelerate up to speed as I would expect and you can keep to the timetable fairly easily.
I mean, yeah I checked and using cameras, both power cars produce accelerating noise and the rpm dial on the rear cab shows nearly the same as on the front, so I assume both are active
