There are 4 quick drives from Buxton URS provided in the dlc, the ones to Dowlow Quarry (Freight) and Hindlow Brigg (Freight) fail to load with the error message shown in the attached screenshot. Using various trains the QDs to the other two destinations load OK. I reported this to JT a week ago and was advised to do a complete re-install of the MML and addons. This failed to resolve the problem. I've heard nothing more from them so far. Am I alone in having this issue? Grateful for any feedback. FWIW standard scenarios from Buxton URS to Dowlow and Hindlow can be created and run so I suspect there's noting wrong with the route itself.
Pretty obvious. You must select a loco/consist you own. The Armstrong Powerhouse Class 67 Enhancement Pack that's preselected is obviously not something you own (missing image). Just select another consist or make your own. It's your choice what stock you want to use in QD.
Not obvious I'm afraid, I do own that loco. Not sure why the image of the 67 is missing in the screenshot, it's there when choosing the driven consist in the scenario selection screen but disappears when the scenario fails to load. In any case the same loco loads fine in other QDs. Perhaps my post wasn't clear. I have tried a good selection of alternatives, it makes no difference.
Well your screenshot is clear. The loco is not there hence the QD can't be started. Seems there's only a Preload for that installed but the files are missing. Which can cause issues in QD, as it looks for preloads on your whole installation and randomly chooses consists from there. If files are missing, that's what you get. Do you have the required base route Sheffield-Derby and Hope Valley installed in the right order? I'd say the cause is Preloads (possibly from Repaints) present on your system with the according loco files missing. The fact that an AP67 is shown is clearly pointing to that issue - it should not appear at all. Nothing JT can do about that, that's a thing on your end you have to fix by either validating the game and/or correctly reinstalling 3rd party addons. It doesn't have to be the player loco - this can happen for AI stock in QD to when a preload is found without the defined consist's stock installed. You can start RailWorks\LogMate.exe, then do the same again and post the logfile (*.log in Railworks folder) here.
Let's ignore the 67, you don't seem to have read my post where I said it's usable in other QDs. The same 67 when selected for a QD in the opposite direction, i.e. from Dowlow or Hinlow to Buxton URS causes no error. I also said that so far, any loco I've tried on the subject QDs also causes the QD to fail to load. To rule out AI preloads being the cause I've selected 'Player Train Only', it makes no difference.
I've just repeated the QD tests using Kuju 37 BR Blue + 4 Mk1, Summer / Cloudy / 1330, Player Train Only. Buxton DRS to Dowlow QD failed as reported previously with the AP67 - logmate output in Fail.zip (attached) Dowlow to Buxton URS QD loaded successfully - logmate output in Success.zip (attached)
Just had a quick look - there's something wrong with the departure spawn point. I don't have the route myself yet. Are you aware of how to use the editor? A reason might be that the spawner points in the wrong direction. On another note, if you read the fail log, you have a lot of corrupt blueprints (invalid data). These should be deleted and reinstalled. (JT Voyager Preloads) This is also a possible issue, and it seems many blueprints from HopeValley can't be loaded. ID: RailNetwork\Signals\Signals\JTMS_Gty_L4A_0T_f1_CA.xml long: -1.262824, lat: 52.862840 Error calling Initialise function The installation order of all the JT routes is important, maybe the error happened there - which could result in a pathing error for the player spawner. Best to remove them all, reinstall Sheffield - Derby, then Hope, then Buxton.
Thanks for taking a look, I did have a quick peek in the editor and there are two spawn points, I'll take another look and see if they both point in the right i.e. out of the sidings direction - whether I could successfully rectify any error is a different matter! Presumably one is used for the two QDs from Buxton URS that work, destinations Ashburys and Hazel Grove High Level, and the other for the two that fail. I noticed the Voyager errors - I'll re-install at some point although I've not noticed any problems using those sets. I did a full re-install of MML and extensions a week ago after checking I'd got the latest versions as recommended by JT support using their suggested order: "1st Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby 2nd Midland Main Line: Derby-Nottingham-Leicester Extension 3rd Midland Main Line: Hope Valley Extension Then in no particular order: Midland Main Line: Nottingham-Lincoln Extension Midland Main Line: Erewash Valley Midland Main Line: Derwent Valley Line Then finally install the Midland Main Line: Buxton and Peak Forest Extension" and don't let's lose sight of the fact that, as far as I've found so far, all the standard scenarios and QDs that come with Buxton and Peak Forest run OK except the two QDs under discussion.
I've had another look in the editor and the two spawn points aren't quite what I thought. One is for the Hazel Grove High Level destination and the other for Ashburys. I've no idea where the ones for Dowlow and Hindlow are, having looked all round the Buxton URS area. There are four QD scenario entries in the editor, Primary Northbound, Primary Southbound, Secondary Eastbound and Secondary Westbound. I've looked at each and found neither marker! I'll shelve this for the time being, give JT support a prod and see what they say. At least I've learnt a bit more about the editor! Thanks again.
