From far on LOD's red = red. When approaching a signal red start transforming to a yellow. At close range I can't see the difference between yellow and red. Happens to me on all routes with new sky/light.
I have never had any problems recognizing colors, and in the distance I can clearly see red, but up close it is very difficult for me to distinguish it from yellow.
    I'm the only one?

No, I have the same problem as well.
Haven't noticed it before TSW4 though.

Edit: I notice it most on brittish routes, like SEHS for example.

Funnily enough I have the same problem the other way around. I think the yellows look like reds on certain routes. ECML to name one.

However on other routes, ECW for example, a yellow is definitely yellow. Odd isn't it?

The route that really causes me issues with this is BCC, especially in New Street, as when say there you cannot notice the signal change as the red and yellow are so similar up close. It is noticeable on other routes but tends to be distinguishable.

I have not notice any other routes but, I did notice it on LIRR 2.0. I just ran Cajon Pass and it was not present on that route.

Same, I'm close to a red signal and sometimes the only way I notice it's changed to a yellow is the light on my controller has changed. (PS5)

I use track monitor to determine that. It's funny because until I found this thread, I always thought the signals themselves were just glitching and were stuck on red despite the track monitor saying it was safe to pass - never realised they were actually yellow!

Would also appreciate some acknowledgment of this issue and rectification. I’m mild red green colour blind so really struggle with the difference between Red and Yellow being so similar in game.

Yet in real life I have no issue spotting the difference between a red and yellow signal.

Also never had this issue on TSC.

I personally noticed a difference in the signals when TSW3 came out (utilizing TOD4). There are some threads from that time that mention this topic. To me the colors do seem more "washed out," and the signals themselves are less brilliant. Although I am also colorblind, I felt like I could manage with TSW2, but sometimes now it can feel impossible. Perhaps this is realistic in the sense that I probably wouldn't be great at seeing IRL signals either. It would be nice if there was a way on consoles to adjust the luminescence and/or color gradient of the signals. It's not something that I anticipate will happen.

The mod mentioned in this thread was the second most important thing (after editing engine.ini) to do after I bought TSW4. It took me a while to grasp whats "wrong" with signals, though.

Writing this and being with the franchise since years I ask myself how deep into Stockholm Syndrome I'm in already ;-)

I think some of the signals can be changed via mods if I recollect
