Moin, this would be a nice continuation of the Main-Spessart-Bahn, yet vastly different in character. Hence I could imagine it as both, it's own route DLC or indeed an extension to the MSB. The own DLC option would probably be the wiser one, as this route itself offers plenty of opportunities for future expansions. It would be a short route admittedly, but then again it's basically two routes between the two end points. Yes, this would be just awesome to have this in the game! Maybe you could extend your proposal to include either side of the main for the route to Wiesbaden (either via Frankfurt Höchst or Mainz). Then it would include my daily commute, using the S8 or RB75
THANK YOU, this is the entire area I wanted to promote. I live here and communte every day with the DB. Futhermore I went to school in Hanau and had to take an very very oldschool service (you were allowed to smoke in the cars) daily back then. Okay, that's almost 20 years past from now but hey, memories!!! I really really really hope anything from Frankfurt and Offenbach will someday be included Hope never dies
I have something coming in the other direction too. I kept this one a bit short, it might after all be a MSB extension too.
any extension on MSB would be good i love the route and German locos. By the way we are still waiting for a German diesel loco for the msb to work around the dock area and the branch lines
Excellent idea and one benefit of using ET425 & 1440 on This route is that if you want to continue further to Gemünden you should have enough tractive motive power from a stop to Max throttle 10 without the risk of rolling back into the station if on Max Throttle on DB BR 146.2 the German Version of NJ Transit ALP-46A & ALP-46. That happened to me twice at Aschaffenburg when I accelerate from the station at full power.
