Does dovetail ever charge for a timetable

 

East Coastway has two timetables released by DTG, one without the 313 and one with the 313. The one with the 313 wasn't free.

 

True but the 313 was loco dlc

 

I haven't scrolled all the way down, but a possible work around is just to have a service that starts with a unit stabled in the sidings, it doesn't have to go anywhere or go far but you can just leave and it'll ask you if you want to give it up

 

It was but it still needed a timetable.

 

Will you include Victoria-Seaford services? AFAIK theres few throughout the day.

Have been watching your work for a while and have been looking forward to it, however.... you've absolutely nailed it! lovely work, how do you feel now that it's out?

 

Small request - is it possible for you to include the months seasonal services run in their descriptions?

 

v3 is now available, with the following bug fixes:

• Spawning on foot now loads the correct timetable.
• Service 2D30 now spawns the player correctly in the cab.
• Ore to Brighton services now have the correct description and map waypoints in the service menu.

I will expand seasonal service descriptions in a future update, as I didn't see your request until now and the updating process is still a bit of trial and error.

 

How did you fix the spawning on foot issue? I think a lot of people are having issues.

 

Ah, the trick is that you must define all formations yourself within the same plugin (I just did Save As to within my plugin). If you use any formations from other plugins, spawn on foot will not work.

You can just make a copy of an existing formation.

 

387s were first used on the East Coastway (from my memory) during COVID to keep them running when the Gatwick Express was not operating. However even after COVID they stayed part of the Coastway fleet, although I'd assume when the Gatwick Express restarted and during the temporary withdrawal of Southern-operated London to Brighton services this decreased. Now with 455s and 313s gone, and with extra 387s from GWR and c2c the 387s are now semi-permanently part of the Coastway fleet. With the upcoming timetable change, 387s are being allocated to certain services and some will (if the plan goes ahead unchanged) be exclusively run by 387s. The ex-GWR are also seemingly set to be Coastway-only units if I read the document correctly... There's a thread on RailUK which has links to certain documents released by GWR regarding the Coastway routes.

That said, to correct you 387s and 313s did operate at the same time on Coastway routes. This video shows both trains running at the same time on Coastway services.

A reskin of the 170 would be good enough, although I think it would be cool to mention that on at least one occasion, during engineering works, a Class 442 ran the service... Obviously not to Ashford though.

Great improvement to the route good work, Hopefully the BML timetable can be amended the Ore and Eastbourne splitters do time in quite well to continue playing between the 2 DLC's . But you go from 8 car to 4 then back to 8 again feels a bit odd

 

Ah, that makes sense as to why I wasn't having issues but others were! Glad it's been sorted.

 

I have a complaint ...

I'm having way too much fun with this timetable, great job!! The Eastbourne services to London were sorely missed, and definitely love all the other bits and pieces you put. Great route, great timetable.

 

I have just released v5 of the timetable, which now includes this information.

Also, 2F53 no longer blocks 1F10 at Lewes with a signal reservation.

 

I just downloaded this and put the .pak file in the correct place but there are only three class 377 services and they are all at lovers walk.

 

I have received many reports of the recent core update playing havoc with timetable mods and some official third-party timetables for loco DLCs. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do but await a fix from DTG.
