All of the Amtrak Cascades Route between Eugene OR, Seattle WA and Vancouver BC is very beautiful, with a variety of freight, commuter, and intercity passenger traffic.

The Route gets very complicated as soon as you get to the Fraser River Bridge in Vancouver so likely the route would be from Surrey, White Rock (or by the Canada-US border) or Bellingham, southward.

BNSF runs coal service which can be pulled by locomotives similar to already existing offerings but various switchers and freight locos could be added as suggested in the other threads. I've seen CPKCS and CN on nearby lines in Surrey. There are several shipping container loading areas - Vancouver, Bellingham, Everett, Seattle and more.

    UP operates south of Seattle.

Amtrak operates the Cascades service funded by Washington and Oregon State Departments of Transportation. They use Spanish Talgo 8 trainsets with a Siemens Charger looking thing on one side and an EMD F40PH on the other, with Cascades (or occasionally operation lifesaver) livery. Another formation is with Amtrak livery P42 with Horizon coach cars, that is until the brand new Siemens trainsets arrive in a few years.

Sound Transit operates commuter services between Seattle and Lakewood to the south and Everett to the north. They use Bombardier Bi-level cars and EMD F59PHI, and the MotivePower MP40PH-3C as said in one of the threads.

There really needs to be more Canadian routes imo, but if the permissions from VIA/CN/CPKCS are too hard to acquire, this may be the next best thing.

    Thanks.

This is a route that is needed in game. It's got passenger, commuter, freight, urban operations, and great scenery (basically a bit of everything). Here's my loco wishlist for this route:
    -BNSF:
-ET44C4, ET44ACH, ES44AC, SD70MAC, SD70ACe, C44-9W, or SD75M/SD75I for heavy freight (the SD75s are often seen on trash and manifest freight trains out of the Seattle area.)
-GP60/GP60M/GP60B, GP50/GP25 rebuild (in both BN Patched and BNSF H3 liveries), or GP39-3 (rebuilt ex-BN/NP/GN/SP&S GP30s/GP35s) for local/yard operations

    -Passenger:
-Amtrak Cascades Siemens Charger and Talgo Cab Car (also, Amtrak Cascades will have Siemens Venture Cars/Cab Cars in the next few years)
-Coaster MP40PH-3C (DTG would just need to modify the Peninsula Corridor MP36) and Bi-Level Cab Car

    -Other Loco DLCs:
    -BNSF SD60M (ex-BN)/SD60M-3
    -Coaster F59PHI
    -BNSF GP28-2/M/P (rebuilt ex-BN/GN/NP GP7s/GP9s/GP18s)
-GN, NP, SP&S, and/or BN diesel locomotives as DLCs
-UP/CN/CPKC should be layers, not included with base route.

Really needed and by the way this was the main route between the United States and Canada Pacific Coast. Unique Rolling Stock talgo tilting train used by the Amtrak Cascades
