The west cornwall local is my nearest irl dlc. I would love to see it updated and extended to plymouth. The stations need updating the scenery could do with an uplift and double tracks after truro heading to st Austel. Pop the gwr short set hst's in there and maybe even get some proper livered 800/802 iet's with the proper formations DTG Alex

A couple things to point out. This DLC is by Rivet games and is set in the 90s so the IETs and the modern HST wouldn’t fit. And whilst it’s true the route could do with a face lift any major scenery upgrades plus an extension to Plymouth would be unlikely.

As already said, it's a route set in 19(91*), so the trains suggest are definitely not going to appear, the only possible addition is an original Valenta HST.

The route scenery definitely needs updating but I doubt that will happen.

though to be fair. A modern iteration of the west Cornwall local would be great. Apart from the route itself is what I personally think is alright. The class 150 is bugged. you just cannot couple more than 1 unit together and it will just not move. Heard the sounds are wrong also.

Rivet can’t even be bothered to fix up the existing glaring errors so an extension highly unlikely. The route seems done as far as they are concerned. And in the unlikely scenario it did get a rebuild or extension, modern era with one handle Hitachis would be incredibly boring. Better to go full on retro, mid to late 70’s and give us Westerns, 47’s, 45’s, maybe a new 50 in their natural environment.

A few more paths wouldn't go amiss either.
At least then we could make more interesting scenarios using the many sidings dotted around the route.

And the single track section is correct for the time.

The flange squeal on the 150 is like nothing on this earth. Horrific. I never use it as a result.
