Rivet comes in for a lot of criticism and some of it is unwarranted, but one thing I think they do better than everyone else so far is when you're creating a livery using their stock, such as the 150/2 and 170 the unit numbers are automatically applied and the game will generate random numbers as usual when in game. DTG and other third party companies you have to put in the number manually and a lot of time the numbers are forgotten about by the creators. So what is it that Rivet do that others can't do. It would be great if that could be done by DTG and other parties.
I had no idea this happened! And it's brilliant! The only issue I can find is if you only wanted one number, but I would certainly prefer Rivet's system!
I don’t think that is a good feature because if you are making a livery only one loco had then it won’t be right
What we need is a way to make it so you can select which train(s) out of the fleet can use a certain livery, like 395 012 being the only train with the rainbow instead of it being random
I don't think that they are a bad creator. There are a lot of things they do better than others. But the problem is that all these advantages got even out by mistakes or bad behavior. I think they definitely should improve the communication with their costumers and be more open for fixes and upgrades to their products. This could be the key for more positivity regarding their products in the future.
Rivet are certainly not bad, they try innovative new methods, techniques and features, that they could easily have not bothered. It's usually the execution that lets them down, but I assume this is alot to do with money, resources and weaker skills than it is lack of passion
Rivet have a very small team that's the reason why bits can get cut or missed and why older pieces of contract don't get updates like the br 204 and class 483. 204 for liveries editor 483 on updating sounds like the 1938 stock dlc has had. Berninalinie line ends at Ospizio bernina the line to St Moritz is modeled from ospizio berinia. Rivet will never get criticism to go way that is very unfortunate
Just Trains managed to get a Hit with preston blackpool. And they also have a rather small team. The difference i see is spirit and passion into their projects and no sloppy excuses.
I think the major difference there though, is that JT have a vast amount of content available and even a store selling other sim content, while Rivet (it appears or is less obvious) don't, and are more likely in need to pump out the products to maintain their bottom line.
But on the other side of that their 37 from WCL is impossible to livery with other numbers because on console you can't get rid of the loco numbers so no matter what livery you put on it you're stuck with one of two numbers!
