HELP! Southeastern High Speed Driving a Class 395, 1J83 from Sandwich to St Pancras - you start at Ashford Int'l It drops you in the seat with CTRL on and the top light lit. Open door, wait, close door and power up - NOTHING. What am I missing? I tried switching to DC, but that didn't work either. I thought maybe I forgot to close the doors, but that wasn't it. HELP!?!?!?!?!?
you hold the DC button until it lights up, then press the button right below ("panto up, shoes down")
Thank you for your response. Once doors are closed, I press the DC button until it lights up; line volt not lit - MCB/VCB lit. I then press Panto Up/Shoes Down; Line Volt lit, MCB/VCB not lit. Should be good to go? Standing still, let it run for 45 seconds and I am not moving. Press PUSD or Hold it down? Press it once, twice? Make these adjustments in Neutral? What about the DRA button?
The 395 should be in the correct power mode (CTRL) already; you should only need to turn on master key, put reverser in forward, and apply power. If it doesn't move it may be bugged
WHAT AM I MISSING?!?!? Very next one, TVM - starts with you in the seat and she says accelerate, everything looks set correctly, P1 and nothing. I've been sitting here for 10 minutes restarting the process and nothing. This is so frustrating!!!!!
Quick question, how do you move the handle of the train ? If you are doing it "directly" with your mouse it will not work. You have to go step by step to make it move. Emergency-->B10->B9->B8....->B1 and then apply some power. You can do it with your keyboard so this way you will not "skip" some notches.
I know this isn’t relevant but I can’t drive the class 66 when using formation designer because the engine makes the normal acceleration sound but no amps and the 66 doesn’t move pls help
I don’t like to drive the Javelin in TSW4 at all in all honesty, it seems buggy. I know you have to have the ac/dc sorted and all that, but it seems to lose power alarmingly in places, especially considering it’s Britains fastest train, on another occasion I couldn’t get the darn thing to stop at just 18mph and overrun the platform. Now I just leave it be as an ai train and drive the one in TS instead. Much more relaxing.
Its not a 395 issue. When starting the train put the key in and reverser in neutral. Then you need to select either AC or DC then press pan up shoes down TWICE. Then you can go. It’s the same in TSC. If your train isn't stopping in time thats again a problem with you. Learn the 395. Not every emu behaves the same. Brake earlier. The only problem ive had with the 395 is the sounds. Specifically if the camera is in the front half of the train only the first 3 coaches will have motor sounds. Similarly if the camera was in the rear half only the rear 3 coaches would have motor sounds.
