Looking at the Announcements section, technically it all started with (Kuju) Rail Simulator released through Electronic Arts in 2007 so the original core programme is actually 17 years old in October. It morphed into Railworks in 2009 along with the change of management/ownership, but that was still built on what had been put in place two years earlier. And DTG Alex , to celebrate this 15th (or 17th!) anniversary of the programme, rather surprised not to see some substantial discounts or bundles popping up on the Steam Store in a special Sale. Or maybe that’s going to be revealed next week?!
Steam summer sale starts on the 27th, so maybe some excellent bargains to be had at the end of June. Hopefully some good discounts on American routes
Be sure not to miss Chatham Main Line for free. It is probably the best route DTG ever did. Though I got all that stuff already, thanks DTG. Party!!!
H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y A Job Very Well Done DTG ! And thank you very much for the great discounts !
Definitely...especially as the announcement (Train Simulator 15th Anniversary! (dovetailgames.com)) mentions "feature in an special aale" Just bring your own glass.......
I see the sale has now started. The full Chatham main line 100% off. Definitely buying at that price!
Happy anniversary had rail simulator since day one. I even went and bought msts the day that released. Can remember the long walk I had in the pouring rain to get it and carrying it bag eagerly in the rain and putting those orange and green disks into my computer and installing them. I am sure the box is still in the loft complete with the disks
