I've been thinking about this since weeks ago and I think I should share my thoughts on how it should be! The route should start from Shenfield to Paddington, the distance would be 23 miles (37 kilometers) during the journey. What're your thoughts on this? Do you think it's a good or a bad idea? Lemme know when replying!
I think it is a great idea. I do not know why this suggestion only has my response. Great suggestion and you have remained realistic by keeping it to Paddington only.
Excelent idea but there's some in the community that want Elizabeth Line merged with GWML making it this route London Adventure GWML and Crossrail Shenfield to Reading. Challenges ETCS overlaid on CBTC Core section with Platform Screen Doors
Not to mention people like me who'd prefer it to be an extension on a GEML route. Worth remembering that Shenfield workings only go as far as Paddington so if it was just Crossrail, it would be better to have the Abbey Wood leg too for greater driving variety.
It would be incredible to have both of those routes listed. It would definitely offer potential and Stratford could not look empty otherwise it would look really strange.
Through to Heathrow and Reading would be great. They would need to update the west section so they would probably just end the route at Paddington
Yep, you're right. I realised they now went further than Paddington last night when deciding whether to fly from Heathrow or Gatwick for our holiday. I knew it was in the plan but delighted that it's now operational.
Just a bit off topic but the Elizabeth line has a ridiculous cost compared to the Picadilly Line which is slower. The Elizabeth line would be great as it is a route with a variety of different sections of track and would be really enjoyable
(this might sound silly) For the GWR AI, we could just use the 166 and HST as they are the only GWR trains we have
