ICE1 on his way to Mainz southbound in the beautiful village of Oberwesel. This route is known as the "Linke Rheinstrecke", released on TSW3. Picture taken April 17, 2024 7D223036-37DA-4575-9683-1C1FB7A146F0.JPG

What company/country are those being made for? :o
They look good. Would be great if the UK could get some. Only problem is, they'd end up plauged with 3+2 seating.

Saw Class 37/0 37219 Jonty Jarvis at York recently.

This is the first time I've seen a Colas Rail 37 in action.

on May 3rd 2024 the first regular series ICMm, known as the Koploper in The Netherlands had a final service ceremony, however shortly after this it did continue to perform service for a few days. It's set to be sent to the Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht this June. I managed to snap this picture on my little pocket camera after work when it arrived in Utrecht. Koploper.jpg

The first 'Dorset Coast Statesman' railtour came past yesterday. This is usually operating by a pair of Class 47's, either double heading or in this case, top & tailing. The numbers featured on this railtour where 47712 'Lady Diana Spencer' & 47593 'Galloway Princess'.
    IMG_1794.JPEG IMG_1795.JPEG
This service was severely held up around Poole, meaning it initially came down around 3 hours late and came back around half-an-hour late. Why I'm not sure, but I did see in SWR's website that there were some problems around Poole today, but whether it was related to this railtour, idk (for the record, these images were taken on the services return journey).

Today I travelled from Wien Hbf to Mürzzuschlag and back. I also visited the Südbahn museum. It was really nice to see Semmeringbahn in real life after playing it in TSW4. :) 20240619_113028.jpg 20240619_123437.jpg IMG-20240619-WA0013.jpg 20240619_160803.jpg 20240619_170436.jpg

I love that paint scheme on pretty much anything lol. If Hornby ever does another run of Sentinels with one in that scheme it'd be an instant buy for me.

Had a beautiful trip to the Isle of Wight and, of course, this meant a visit to the Island Line! Luckily, the weather was the warmest of the year here in the UK so it was a positive. Here are the pictures which include Shanklin, Sandown, Brading, Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head. Enjoy!

Awesome photos! The IoW is pretty high up on the list of places my wife and I want to visit when we travel to the UK in the next few years.

We're planning on starting in London and visiting the Isle of Wight and some of the heritage lines in the south, before traveling north to see the National Museum in York, the SVR, ELR, and KWVR.

Then we'll either go further north and end our trip in Scotland, or go west and take the ferry to Dublin before flying home.

Edinburgh has a lovely mix of traffic and is very busy. I'd recommend it. Though Glasgow is very good too and hotels and whatnot are cheaper and it's not as busy. Easier to commute and there is a subway. (With brand new trains might I add) Both have their perks. Up to you. Ethier way Scotland is a lovely country to visit (I may be biased as I am local) and I highly recommend. Hope you enjoy your time here if/when you go. :)

Must say the Isle of Wight looks nearly as nice as Skeggie! :D Always one of those places I've wanted to visit but never have, especially after seeing how decent TSW makes it look. Though must say the Electrostar does somewhat ruin things!

    Cheers, Nathan. :)

    Cheers R3DWolf91 :)

Absolutely, can highly recommend a visit to the IOW. From London (either from Waterloo via SWR or Victoria via Southern) direct to Portsmouth takes just over 2 hours. From Portsmouth Harbour, you can get the ferry directly from the railway station which is highly convenient and takes around 20 minutes to cross the Solent to Ryde Pier Head. Alternatively, you can go to Portsmouth & Southsea and get the hovercraft - which is very cool! - and takes only 10 minutes to Ryde Esplanade. Make sure you travel when it's summer though, as it tends to rain a lot here in the UK. :D:cool:

Have never been to York, but would love too one day. And can highly recommend both Edinburgh and/or Dublin - both beautiful cities.

Don't forget the Fife Circle too.

Definitely worth a visit if you can, it's amazing how beautiful the UK can be - when it's not raining! Haha I included the pic as was part of my journey to Portsmouth. :)

Yes we really should, does seem lovely! I do agree that England, and Scotland, even Wales can be very beautiful, especially when you consider how much the landscapes change over such a small space.

Now I share with you about the latest tests for the completely new tracks, full digital fiber optic signaling, and one of the brand new Stadler E4001 six axle locomotive.
Hopes we could have this locomotive on TSW!
In my country - URUGUAY - , they are Diesel only, but they are produced electric only, and the famous Dual Mode, variants.

Note: The technician is speaking about the digital technology of the signals Sorry is in spanish.
Also some rail preparation is showed, with nice night video showing lot of sparks.

    Hopes you liked it too.

    Have a nice weekend!

The second Dorset Coast Statesman of the year came past today, once again featuring Class 47 no. 47712 'Lady Diana Spencer', but this time being joined by Class 57 no. 57311, which I believe is the first time this loco has operated this tour, as far as I can tell.
    IMG_1866.JPEG
    IMG_1870.JPEG
As well as these images, I've also put down below a little video of both the inbound and outbound legs of this tour (the quality isn't great, as it's being recorded on my phone, but it at least gives you a good perspective of the tour as it came past, and even got honked as it came back on it's return leg).
