Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: TSC only shots allowed. Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). The Judge of the week's decision is final. We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 9:00 PM BST on Friday, June 14th 2024 and will be judged by me - trainsandgames In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5:00 PM BST Sunday, June 16th, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll. The theme for this week is 'Locomotive Hauled' Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish. Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.

If you are going to be loco hauled, choosing an EWS 67005 "Queen's Messenger" & 67006 "Royal Sovereign" top and tail option can't be all bad, I mean if they are good enough to be given the honour of pulling the UK Royal Train, I am sure they are more than adequate to run the “The Canterbury Tale” Charter Train. Sheer indulgence. Late afternoon on the Leek and Manifold with Barclay Atlantic hauling 4 LMVLR coaches from Grinton.

For a long time; many steam locomotives had better power than the diesels but as the modern railway age progressed technology really demonstrated the power that could be put into diesel locomotives. The GE AC6000CW is an example of such innovations being able to achieve a power output of 6,000 hp almost achieving that of the power output of the Union Pacific Big Boy but in a smaller and less maintenance intensive design. Here CSX GE AC6000CWs '675' and '5015' are seen hauling 25 empty hoppers south to Hialeah, Florida in the United States of America. The extreme power was too much for these locomotives though and caused major vibration problems among other things eventually prompting modifications and engine swaps to more environmentally friendly engines that could achieve similar; albeit a bit less power. This doesn't change the fact that the GE AC6000CW proved the incredible power you could put in diesel locomotives and this locomotive has the distinction of being the choice of motive power used on the heaviest and longest train ever recorded which was a train of 682 wagons loaded with iron ore weighing very close to 100,000 tonnes and was 7 kilometres (4 miles) in length. Loco: GE AC6000CW Route: Miami - West Palm Beach Scenario: [AC6000] Empties to Hialeah Enhancements: Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 + Armstrong Powerhouse Cloud Enhancement Pack, RW Enhancer 2, ReShade
Gotta love loco hauled passenger trains!! Here we see DB Class 146.0 '146 012-1' hauling a 5 coach long train made up of 4th Generation Bombardier Double-Deck Coaches heading southbound on the Leipzig-Dresden Line for Dresden Hbf on an S-Bahn Dresden service during a Spring morning in Saxony, Germany. The DB Class 146.0 locomotive was a predecessor to the locomotive models of the Bombardier TRAXX P160 AC which became designated the DB Class 146.1 alongside the Bombardier TRAXX P160 AC2 becoming known as the DB Class 146.2 with the DB Class 146.0 being their own thing separate from the TRAXX family. (Definitely not very annoying to research and figure out what was what! ) Loco: DB Class 146.0, Bombardier 4th Generation Double-Deck Coach Cab Car Route: Bahnstrecke Riesa - Dresden Scenario: 7. With multiple units having taken over many passenger train workings in the United Kingdom it leaves most of the loco hauled workings to freight based duties. Here we see Freightliner Class 70 '70010' of the GE PH37ACmi locomotive model depart from sidings at Rutherglen, Scotland with 14 MJA wagons loaded with aggregates on southbound service 6J18 to Carstairs on the West Coast Main Line. With the theme this week being "Loco Hauled" thought it might be a bit rude not to include the mainstay of UK haulage the Class 66 "The Shed". Freightliner 66620 is seen here with a mixed rake of HIA, JRA & JGA hoppers loaded with sand. Loco:- Class 66 Route:- South Western Mainline / Southampton - Bournemouth

A stalwart of UK diesel locos, which can still be seen in use to this present day, the wonderful Class 47. This example 47749 "City Of Truro" is seen in Colas Rail livery hauling a rail replacement engineering train & crane. Loco:- Class 47. Route:- South Wales Mainline.
The fastest electric locomotive in the world, the Taurus, rolls through the Semmeringbahn on an early morning service to Vienna, with shadows by the trees making for a pretty, temporary, livery. Loco: OBB 1116 Route: Semmeringbahn (DTG)
Right, that’ll do! I shall judge in the AM tomorrow morning, so please check back tomorrow for the results!

He was last seen (interacted) with that specific post. Something must have come up. Hopefully nothing worse than a well timed disassembly of the internet cable by a squirrel.
Can we have your results please mate, it is now 19:18 BST Sunday If you do not respond within the next 30 minutes we shall default to a new thread with the theme Bridges/Viaducts as per poll. Would love to see your choices for the podium but at this late stage we have now lost most of the weekend when a lot of us have the time to contribute. Please respond ASAP Best wishes
If we don't hear from trainsandgames within the nest 30 mins I am more than happy to setup next week's thread. Would any of you like to take on the role of judge or would you all be happy with me taking on the role? Cheers all
Hiya all, Seeing as we have had no response from trainsandgames I have set up a new thread with the default theme of Bridges / Viaducts. Hope you are all ok with this, if any of you wish to take over the judging option then please feel free to let me know. Would just hate to see this thread die, I absolutely love it. Have fun all https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/unofficial-screenshot-competition-week-26.82334/
In my opinion for the time being you should be the judge; and if trainsandgames comes back and announces the winner for this week whoever that winner was can take over judging.
